Warning: Blood, injuries, gore. This story includes constant thoughts of failure and thinking of never being able to accomplish a task or anything.

As the night grew cold in the dark waters of Venice, Italy, the SCP foundation drives their boat to the destination of their next target. It was dark and quiet. Their only way of moving through the cold waters were the boat's lights.

The doctor looks over the recent messages of this new anomaly they are collecting below the deck. It looked rushed and sloppy; as if someone was in danger and needed this message to be written quickly.

"The mask is evil. Don't trust him. He will take body. Do not trust! DO NOT TRUST! HELP NOW! HELP!"

And that was it. There was nothing else that the letter said. The only other thing on it was the smears and specks of blood. Of course, the doctor was afraid of this. They were told that a young man, out of breath, was the one who sent the letter to the police after running miles away from an abandoned house.

The man was too much in a state of shock and panic to explain to the police what was happening. All he could repeat was 'Mask' and 'No. Please No'. Getting him to say anything else proved to be futile. He was taken to a psychiatric hospital after that. Interviews with him proved to be futile as well. Except for one thing.

Dr. Remin, the current doctor reading the letter, tried to interview the young man 1 week after he was taken to the hospital. At first, it seemed like a waste of time since he would only repeat the same words over again, rocking in his seat, and staring at the white walls. Until he said something different.

The young man slowly looked at Dr. Remin dead in the eye and said, "It will take your body."

When Dr. Remin heard this he asked, "Who?"

But he didn't respond. He kept quiet. Not a single word was heard. When the doctor realized that he wasn't going to be saying anything more, he packed his stuff and left.

No one has entered the house in fear that they would turn out the same as the young man. So now, Dr. Remin and the MTF unit are on their way to the location of this entity. He can only imagine what could be in store for them.

"Sir?"

Dr. Remin looked behind him to see one of the MTFs at the door. "Yes?"

"We're here."

He nodded his head to dismiss the guard and looked back at the letter. He frowned and let out a deep sigh. This was his very first time containing an SCP and he fears it could be his last. The SCP Foundation has only been active for 11 years, they say, but the things they have already contained and found are horrendous. He was afraid. He's always been. But what could he do? He already signed up for this. He read the contract, he signed the papers, he knew what he was up against, but still... He never really prepared himself for everything he saw. Though he wished he could go back in time and prevent himself from signing that contract, being chosen to become a researcher for such a secret organization is a once in a lifetime chance that hardly anyone can get. He was grateful, he really was, but now, right now, he wonders if risking his life is really worth the answeres to the paranormal entities he's been introduced to.

The doctor felt the boat stop. He took a shaky breath and stood up from his chair. For a few minutes he stared at the door; reviewing the life he's had so far. With a deep breath, he walked towards the door.

"Don't let your guards down men, this one could be extremely dangerous," said Dr. Remin.

They were in front of an old, abandoned house that was being made into a crypt. Dr. Remin looked at the doorknob and slowly grasped it with his right hand. He took jagged breaths as he began to turn the knob, slowly. All five MTFs, who were assigned to the mission, readied their guns and aimed at the door. Finally, the doctor finished turning the knob. He pushed the door with all the strength he could muster and stepped back. This caused everyone to become tense. They all shined their flashlights inside the room and examined it from the outside before going in.
