LUMIPAS ang ilang linggo at umasa ko na makikipagkita sa akin si Luke. I was hoping that Luke would contact me, but he seems to forget my existence completely. Malamang pinaghahandaan niya ang kayang royal wedding kay Margarette sa Austria.

"Congratulations, Chloe. The line is pretty clear to me. Even my machine confirmed this," sabi ni Victoria habang nasa loob kami ng living room ng kanyang office.

Si Victoria at si Ashton ang pinaka malapit kong kaibigan. She is an obstetrician/gynecologist. Lumapit agad ako sa kanya nang makita ko na positive ang pregnancy test ko.

"We need to celebrate! We have a new family member!" sigaw ni Ashton.

"Don't tell me that the two of you went nuts and decided to do the thing?" natatawa na tanong ni Victoria.

"Vicky, that is so fucking gross! Super Eeew! I love this girl, pero hindi ko siya papatulan," sabi ni Ashton.

"Who is the lucky man? Sana naman hindi si Xander. I hate him dahil sa ginawa niya sa ating friendship."

"Vicky, Chloe found a real man. Isang perfect na lalaki sa katauhan ni Luke Torres. And take note, Luke is so hot."

"Basta hindi si Xander, masaya na ko. Eh kailan mo makikilala ng perfect man na ito? After what happened to Chloe, she deserves to be happy. Chloe? Chloe? Are you still with us?" tanong ni Victoria na nagpagising sa akin sa daydreaming.

"Yeah, I am fine."

"Dear, alam ko maagap pa pero kailangan malaman ito ng daddy mo," nag-aalalang sabi ni Ashton.

Alam niya na wala na kaming communication ni Luke. Alam niya din na ikakasal na si Luke sa isang royalty sa Austria.

"Chloe, tama si bes Ashton. Whether this man wants to take responsibility or not, we will always be your friend and family. I also need to observe you further if you are experiencing mild bleeding. Huwag ka masyadong ma-stress."

"Vicky, safe ba ang baby ko?"

"Well, bleeding is not normal, but the baby looks fine. Kailangan mo pumunta dito from time to time para ma-check ko ang condition mo. It is better if you will take a rest until the mild spotting stops."

"Tama si Vicky. After all that happened, you deserve to take a break. Bakit hindi ka magbakasyon sa ancestral house niyo sa isla?" tanong ni Ashton.

"Just give it a few days. If the bleeding stops, then it is safe to travel."

Tumango lang ako sa kanilang dalawa. Mas mabuti nga na sa probinsya ako magbakasyon kaysa dito sa Manila. I doubt na makakalimutan ko si Luke kung anak niya ang dinadala ko.
