The worst night of my life, the night I did one of the worst things ever. The night was so traumatic I would never forget it. Let me take you back:
I was looking out my bedroom window admiring the full moon. The night was calm and it was peaceful. That was...until I got a bad headache. It started to get really bad, the equivalent of a jackhammer going off. I groaned, as it only seemed to get worse. My parents rushed un concerned.
They saw my struggle and they gave each other a look that clearly said "Damnit," They tried to help but it seemed that everything only got worse. There were piercing pains everywhere. And I mean everywhere. They tried explaining what was happening to me as it was happening.
"It's your first transformation," My dad started when I screamed in pain.
"WHAT?" I wheezed trying to calm my breaths.
My mom looked so worried, "Sweetheart...you're a werewolf,"
My eyes widened as my body started shaking, they only decided to tell me this now?? "HOW?" Was the only thing I said as the pain increased.
"Your mother and I are both werewolves as well. We chose to stop phasing many years ago to age and have a happy normal life. We thought that since we were no longer transforming, you wouldn't get the gene," my father explained.
"Go get her something to feed on so her Beast won't come!" My mom urged, Dad nodded and ran out.
As Dad was gone Mom explained everything to me...while I was writhing in pain. My Beast is the true inner monster inside me, she said that's where people get the legends that werewolves eat people. If our beasts take over then that's exactly what we do. The worst part is, we know what we're doing is wrong, but we do it anyway cause feeding is the only way to get the beast under control. To keep myself in control I'm supposed to feed on animals everyday. Mom told me that some werewolves still choose to feed off of people even though they don't have to because humans taste better than animals do. I wasn't quite sure how that worked but she said that's just how it is. She went on to explain that I can phase into a wolf whenever I want. I'd also have supernatural abilities in my human form; a stronger sense of smell, better eyesight, supernatural strength and speed. My eyes would also change from their normal brown to a bright yellow color, I would also be able to extract my K9s for feeding. The final thing she told me was as long as I continue to phase I would basically live forever.
She finished explaining everything to me, then she cautiously approached me trying to calm me down. But it wasn't working. She was just trying to soothe me but next thing I knew I was grabbing her by her throat.
"I. NEED. FOOD." I growled. I didn't want to hurt her but I couldn't help myself. What happened next is what truly scarred me for the rest of my life. With my mom shaking in my hand I listened to her fast heartbeat, inhaling her scent of strawberries and lilac I squeezed. She thrashed as she tried to escape my grip but it was no use. I was stronger than her. She fell limp and I dropped her to the floor just as my dad ran in.
He looked at me heartbroken and a part of me felt terrible for what I had just done. But at that point I had lost control. I pounced and tore my own father apart with my teeth. By the time I was done with him he was unrecognizable. I huffed still starving, and that's when I smelt it. The blood still pumping in a creature nearby. Sitting in my father's hand was a small bird about to fly out of the room. He'd brought it for me to feed on. I growled and snatched the bird into my hand, sinking my teeth into its small frail body.
Finally, I was satisfied. My hunger was quenched, and I started to feel normal as I cleaned the blood from my mouth. My eyes flooded with tears as I looked at what was left of my parents' bodies.
"I caused this. I'm a monster. I'm so sorry!" I cried. I knew then I had to run away. There was nothing else I could do, if someone found out I'd be put into the system or in juvie or worse. And I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I killed another person.
So I packed up most of my clothes and my favorite books. I ran to the basement were my parents kept a lot of our money. They didn't really trust banks so there was a lot there, I took everything and bolted.
When I was outside the house I thought about what my mom had told me. I could phase into a wolf. Concentrating, I felt my eyes shift colors, then my K9s exposed themselves, and I felt myself morph into an awesome white wolf. I grabbed my bag in my teeth and without another look to my old house I sprinted into the nearby woods and ran.
"I'm sorry." I thought as I left my old life behind.

That was a couple of months ago. And since then I've gotten control over almost everything. Besides the whole "becoming a monster if I don't feed" thing, being a werewolf rules! I ended up in this small town called Whitechapel, I found this abandoned house that was in pretty good condition to live in. I've been on feeding everyday, mostly living off of birds, squirrels, and rats. Finding a deer was always a treat.
Now don't judge me, but I had enrolled myself at the local high school. Even though I was most likely going to live a long time I still wanted to finish school. I admit, some of the humans smelled appealing but I'm strong enough to fight the urges. Just gotta take it day by day, and hope that everything will go back to normal soon enough.
