Ever since that day I felt a lot better about phasing into a wolf...I even took up Sarah's blood bag system and it's definitely made me a lot stronger. And yet I still felt unease, my dreams haunted me like a plague with images of a purple ball that glowed. I didn't know what it was, what it did, or what its significance was. All I knew was I wanted to keep it that way. I didn't tell Benny what was going on in my head so as not to worry him. But I could tell he was worried about me.
Morning neared as I saw the sun coming over the horizon. I hadn't slept a wink that night but still, I couldn't help but chuckle at the text that appeared on my phone.
Today's the last day of the bet!
-BennyRabbit🐰I chuckled. Ethan and Benny had made a bet a year ago that he wouldn't ask Sarah out on a date. If Ethan did then Benny would owe him one hundred dollars, and if he didn't then visa-versa. I took no part in the bet but I was really hoping that he would do it! I always thought they would be cute together. Just then I heard footsteps trudging to my room.
Speak of the devil! "Hey Sarah! How was the party last night?" I asked as I slipped on my leather jacket.
"There was so. Much. Blood," She sighed plopping on my bed.
I chuckled, "Well it was a vampire party, so I don't really know what else you were expecting."
"I wish you could've gone with me."
"See I would've....But Benny's grandma wasn't home so-" She interrupted me.
"I don't wanna know!" I chuckled as she covered her ears like a child.
I stood in front of her and crossed my arms, "Are you done? C'mon let's get to school."
When we made it to the lobby Erica was waiting excitedly, "Did you have fun last night?" She asked Sarah.
I laughed, "UGHHH YOU TOO!" She groaned, "Everyone wore sunglasses indoors and talked about blood types."
Erica looked almost blissful whilst remembering the party I didn't go to, "I know! I love vampire clubs."
Sarah was really grasping at nothing, "I just wanted one normal night! You know, go to the mall, see a lame movie, pig out on popcorn," She sent Erica a reminiscent look, "Just like we used to."
Erica crossed her arms over her chest, "Sarah...I was the VP of the Historical Fiction Club. I don't want that kind of normal anymore!"
I chuckled, "I believe that nothing is normal now-a-days." The two of them nodded at my statement and we kept walking.
An arm coyly wrapped around my waist, I tensed before my nose caught the familiar scent of magic and books, "Hey you!" Benny greeted bringing my chin up so my lips could meet his.
The girls both aww'ed and I shot them a look that said shut up, "Hey!-" I smiled but looked at him confused when he started pulling me away from Sarah and Erica, "See you guys later! I guess!" I gave them a small smile before facing my boyfriend again as he continued to lead me away, "And where are we going?"
He pointed and I nodded once I understood, there Ethan stood at his locker with a single rose in his hand. Benny stopped once we were behind him, "Why am I so much smoother in my dreams?" I heard him mutter to himself, I almost felt bad for him.
"You know..." Benny caught his attention, "Just for you, I'll take my hundred bucks in dollars," he joked.
Ethan sighed as he put the rose carefully in his locker, "The deal was that I had a year to ask Sarah out."
