Part 1 Chapter 5: Crashing a Vampire Party

Sarah and I were in town when suddenly a car pulled up next to us.

"Excuse me ladies. Can one of you tell us where the vampire party's at?" Ethan poked his head out of the passenger seat window.

Sarah chuckled, "Okay, I know I'm acting crazy cause I got bit, and Kayla's acting crazy cause she can turn into a wolf. What's your excuse?" 

"Come on, we'll give you a ride," Benny offered. Sarah got in the backseat while I jumped on the hood and crouched, "Having fun up there?"

"YUP!" I howled.

When we got to the house I jumped down and Sarah got out of the car, "Okay so you guys stay in the car. Got it?" She told them.

"No way!" Ethan fought.

"Stay! We'll be back as soon as we can with Erica and your friend Rory," I promised.

"Come on, just-" Benny started and Sarah and I bared our fangs at them and I growled.

"Stay." I threatened. Sarah and I started walking toward the house, "This is great. I'm going into a house full of vampires. What could go wrong?" I asked sarcastically. We walked inside and I was immediately punched with the aroma of vampires. Yet I could still make out the scents of humans, "This way," I led her toward Erica and Gord.

"Well well well, look who showed up with a pet," Gord greeted, "I'm guessing Wes talked some sense into ya huh?"

Sarah put her hands on her hips and smirked, "We had a real heart-to-heart."

"His ashes got all over my boots though," I sighed and pretended to wipe dirt off my shoes, I glanced over at Gord who looked mad but I didn't really care.

"Actually, we have to talk to Erica. Alone." Sarah told him.

"So now you want to include me," She was mad.

"No, it's cool. I'll go find Jesse he'll really want to know you're here," He looked at Sarah before turning to me, "And he'll want to have a word with you."

When he left Erica gave us this 'what the hell' look. Sarah grabbed her hand, "Come on you're not safe here! We have to get out of here now!" She urged.

"You sound like my mother! Don't worry party poopers! It's not like I'm going to give in to peer pressure! Besides, no one here is even drinking," She pointed out.

"Yeah not yet," I growled.

"Is something wrong with your throat?" Erica asked me confused and I shook my head.

Sarah sighed, "Look I know it's hard to believe but a couple weeks ago I got bit by a vampire and now I'm a fledgeling!" 

"And I'm a werewolf," I admitted.

Erica started laughing, "Wow. You really expect me to believe that?"

"I know it sounds crazy but if we don't get out now we won't be able to get out like ever!" Sarah was getting more and more impatient.

"You sound like something from Dusk," Erica informed her.

I huffed, "We know it sounds crazy but I can prove it," I prepared to show her when there was suddenly a voice behind us.

"There they are." Jesse walked up to us. He put an arm around Sara and gave me a warning look, "I knew my girl would come around." He smiled.

"Actually we were just leaving," She said taking Erica's hand but Erica forced her to let go.

"No, no, no, no. You'd miss the main event. You see this isn't just another party. Stick around." He said glancing at Erica then looking at me.

I felt someone looking our way, I looked around and toward the pool I saw Benny and Ethan. I gave them the 'you're in trouble' look. I changed my eyes to yellow on them to show them I meant it. Just then Jesse pulled Sara and I away from the party.
