Right after school the guys dragged me to the vampire council to explain to Anastasia what happened to the Lucifractor. Needless to say she was not pleased one bit.
"THE LUCIFRACTOR WAS CONFISCATED BY YOUR SCHOOLMASTER?" She bellowed, her voice demonic as she slammed her hand on the desk.
Ethan was intimidated by her, I could tell, "Well, it's just in his office," He told her, "We'll get it back, easy."
"And technically, he's our vice schoolmaster. So..." Benny trailed off.
"Right! Yeah, which makes it even easier," He promised.
Man she was really pissed off, but I could see she was really anxious about it being out in the world, "The Lucifractor is the greatest threat we vampires have ever faced. You have one day to get it back, or we will raid that school," She threatened, the three of us exchanged worried glances as she sat back down, her pitch changing back to her childlike tone, "And you don't want that."
The guys turned to leave. I hesitated, "Kay, you coming?" Benny asked me.
"Uh..Yeah wait for me outside please," I nodded. The door closed behind them and I turned to the council respectfully, "May I have permission to speak?" I requested.
"If you must," Anastasia granted.
I took a breath, "Okay. I know the council is not fond of me simply because of what I am. Lycanthrope have been one of your biggest enemies for as long as the two have existed," I started, they all watched me, waiting to see where I was going with this, "I have an ancient book in my possession, it's nothing of importance to you because it's for a werewolf. However, it does talk about the Lucifractor. Most of what it says is the basic knowledge that you know. However there is an addendum," They leaned in, interested, "There is a rumor that someone with a pure soul can reverse one's curse with the Lucifractor. Meaning they would return back to the age they were when they were turned, and they would be human."
"Impossible!" Anastasia looked at me shocked.
"That's what I thought too. But if it were possible, and somehow I could. Would I be able to reverse someone's vampirism without repercussions from the council?" I asked.
"First you would need the Lucifractor, which your idiot friends have had confiscated."
I nodded, "We'll get it back."
There was a pause. Anastasia conferred with her fellow council members before looking back at me, "I will make my decision when it is in your possession. And only then," She concluded.
I nodded, "Thank you for your time," I turned to leave and she called out to me.
"Why do you conspire with our kind, why do you hang around Sarah, Erica and Rory even though they're vampires?"
I looked back at her, "Because they're my family."

The next day the guys and I searched Sterns office for the Lucifractor.
"Oh, c'mon. It's gotta be in here!" Benny sighed looking through his bookshelf, "Have you looked under L for Lucifractor?" He asked me.
"See Benny I would if Stern had a file cabinet full of magical supernatural items. But being as he doesn't-"
Ethan interrupted me, "I don't see it," he groaned irritated before opening one of the drawers by his desk, "But I found our alien DNA detector goggles! And our psionic helmet, and the eye of Zartak," he listed as he started pulling the items our one by one, "U never realized how much of our magic stuff Stern's taken away from us."
