Nothing is Normal

Part 3 Chapter 1: We're Back!

That break felt like forever. Sarah and I had left White Chapel for a while so I could help her adjust to her new...lifestyle. She's a fast learner, still preferring to feed off of animals, but once in a while I'm able to sneak a blood bag for her as a treat; however I stick with the animal diet. We both had fun traveling together, but we missed our boys. I missed Benny everyday, I wanted to text him but I knew it would make me upset cause I couldn't see him. We got messages from the both of them almost everyday, asking us where we were and if we were okay.

Benny would text and call me at least once a day...usually the same thing, "Hey, I miss you. Come home soon."

More recently Ethan has been texting both Sarah and me if we were going to be able to babysit, but we still hadn't responded. But there we were at almost 11 pm on a Thursday and we we finally back home.

I squealed as we stepped back into the abandoned house that we called ours, "It's so good to be back!"

Sarah smiled, "I wanna surprise Ethan," She blushed.

I skipped over, "I wanna come!"

She crouched over, motioning for me to get on her back, she's not the best flyer yet but she's still learning. I hop on and we take off to that oh-so familiar house.

We flew to the house and paused, I saw the shadow of our best friend at his window, "Go now," I whispered giggling. She nodded and we flew right up to his window baring our fangs, changing our eye colors, and hissing at him playfully; he flinched terrified in that moment.

Sarah smirked at him, "Aren't you going to invite us in?"

He gave a nervous chuckle before saying, "come in"

Sarah turned her back and let me off first, I jumped off her back and onto his windowsill with ease before stepping into his bedroom, "I missed you bud!" I smiled giving him a tight hug.

Sarah stepped in and smiled, "So good to see you again!" She hugged him as I looked between the two of them smiling, maybe now they'll finally get together.

"It's so good to see you both too!" He smiled at me before turning his attention back to Sarah, "But what happened? Did you guys find Jesse and make him pay for turning you into a vampire?" He looked at me, "Is she-" Sarah cut him off.

"I'm fine, you can ask me directly." She eyed him, "I have some new...challenges, but I've accepted it so let's just move on okay?"

"You don't have to accept it, I'm still looking for a vampire cure to bring you back to normal."

I raise my eyebrow at him, "Ethan, in White Chapel, we're just about as normal as mortals."

"Well what matters now is that you're both back. For good?"

Sarah and I exchange a look, yeah we planned on sticking around for a while. I needed time to decide if I was going to stay immortal with Sarah for a while or if I was going to let myself age and be with Benny. It all depended...If I was going to stick with Sarah then we couldn't stay in White Chapel for long; people would start to notice..But I would also feel weird aging with Benny and Sarah having to leave. We chose not to answer his question.

I plopped down on his bed, "I'm so excited for school to start. See everyone again," I blushed thinking about one earth priest in particular.

Ethan's eyes widened, "Does Benny know you're back? He told me you guys-" I held my hand up to silence him.

"He doesn't know I'm back yet. And it's no surprise he told you," I chuckled.

Sarah grabs my arm lightly, "We should let you get some sleep. Kayla wanted to surprise Benny before he falls asleep," We both turn back to the window before Sarah looks back at Ethan, "It is really good to be back."
