"You so like him," Sarah taunted.
"Now's not the time," I told her seriously.
She nodded, "You're right. Before we go I need some strength. Never know if we're gonna have to fight."
"Good idea. Let's get some food. I can catch you a bird if you want?" I offered.
She shook her head respectfully, "I'm okay, I'll get a rat," we walked into an alleyway where she quickly found a family or rats and I even caught a few ravens. I might have crashed into some trash cans which earned a few laughs from Sarah but it was fun so I didn't feel embarrassed.
The two of us exposed our teeth and dug into our power meal. The we heard two screams; looking up I saw two people. I bared my K9s at them and Sarah copied me with her fangs...Probably not the smartest solution since they started running away.
"Damn," I muttered. We stood up and sped forward bout a food with our prey in our hands, quickly finishing it we sped after them.
As we ran I heard, "Help!! My babysitter's a vampire and a werewolf!" Ethan and Benny.
"Double damn," Sarah groaned as we ran after them.
I was semi-disappointed since I thought Benny was cute and now he was probably terrified of me. We quickly caught up to them.
"What's your problem?" Sarah questioned, causing them to scream.
Ethan was terrified, "Look, if you eat us...That would so not be cool!"
I rolled my eyes, "You do realize if we wanted to eat you we would have by now," I pointed out.
"See! They're gonna eat us! We're doomed!!" Benny screamed and I kinda felt bad.
"No! We're not!" I yelled over his cries, "We just wanna talk to you guys!"
Then Ethan held up two sticks to a cross and Benny held a silver chain. I gave it a look and knew right away it was fake. I was still cautious though because real silver is extremely painful if a werewolf comes into contact with it.
"Demons of the night! BE GONE!" Ethan yelled.
"It's not what it looks like!" Sara said trying to be reasonable.
"You're a freakin vampire who eats animals and drinks their blood!" Ethan said to her.
"And you're a werewolf who just ate a freaking bird!" Benny looked over at me.
Sara and I looked at each other. "Okay, so it's kind of what it looks like."
"But-" Sara was about to speak when Benny interrupted her.
"I'm warning you. I had garlic bread for lunch and I'm not afraid to use my breath." He took a beep breath. That's when Sara snapped.
"WOULD YOU BOTH JUST SHUT UP! I'm just a normal girl okay! At least I was until I got bit by my crummy ex-boyfriend."
Then the guys looked to me. "I was born this way I cant help it." I said a bit mad.
"And I'm technically still a fledgling until I drink human blood. Which I really don't want to do.... I have to figure out how to stop this thing before my mortal body dies or at least stop it from happening to more people like Erica." Sara explained.
"So your sure this isn't something for that stupid Dusk movie?" Benny asked causing me to chuckle.
"Yeah. We're sure." I said. Then I heard snarling from the distance. it was another vampire and I growled. "You guys might want to get out of here. Sara get them home and I'll meet you there." I said looking at them as my eyes started shifting. Benny and Ethan looked at me scared but Sara nodded. Ever since I killed that vampire the other night, whenever I hear some about to kill someone else I felt the need to stop it.
