Things have finally gotten back to normal.........or as normal as they can be when you're a werewolf, your best friend is a vampire, your crush is a spellmaster, and your other friend is a seer. It's been a week since the whole incident with Jesse and the Dusk III screening and everyone pretty much forgot about the whole thing. I got ready for a semi-normal day at school. I got a coffee cup that I filled with some bird blood I caught and met up with Sarah.
"Want some?" I offered.
She shrugged, "Sure," She took a sip and handed it back. We saw Ethan standing alone and she rushed me over to him. "Can I talk to you?"
"Hey how goes it? What's new?" Ethan asked.
"Can I borrow $20 friend?" She asked him with pleading eyes.
I looked at her slightly hurt, "Why didn't you ask me? I could've given you twenty dollars," I pointed out. She opened her mouth to ask but I stopped her, "Not anymore, since I found out I'm a second choice after Ethan," I teased and took another sip.
"It's for a good cause," She looked back at Ethan.
"Like now?" he looked a bit uncomfortable. He was about to answer when we heard sobbing coming from down the hall.
There I saw Benny in front of Della who was holding flowers and crying. Benny looked over and us confused and shrugged his shoulders. I realized that Benny was the one that gave Della the flowers and a little green monster in me erupted, I reluctantly kept my cool.
Benny walked up to us, leaving a crying Della behind, "Awesome news; Della's dog died," was the first thing he said to us.
"Well good morning to you too Benny," I rolled my eyes and took another sip.
"Good morning Kayla. Della's dog died!" he repeated happily.
"How is that good news?" Sarah asked.
"Yeah..." Benny looked off in the distance clearly not paying attention.
"Nice. gotta go, later," Sarah responded and she dragged me away from the boys.
"Maybe I can show Della a new dog," I muttered, my eyes changing to yellow.
Sarah gave me a cautious look, "Hey, calm down. His little crush on Della won't last long. Trust me."
"Whatever," I muttered and we walked to our class.

When school was over I had to make-up a test in Criminal Justice so Sarah waited for me. After my test we were walking back to my house when Ethan called Sarah's phone. She put her phone on speaker.
"Hey Ethan, what's up?" Sarah asked.
"Hey, my mom just told me that you and Kayla don't need to babysit this Friday." He told us.
"What? That sucks!" I commented.
"Now we can't even get babysitting money." Sarah was clearly more upset than I was.
"Why do you need money all of a sudden?" Ethan asked and I looked at her wondering the same thing.
"Forget it, I still have other options. See ya," She hung up the phone.
Before she could even say anything I spoke first, "Hey Erica," I spoke to the friend behind us.
"How'd you know?" She asked when Sara and I turned to face her. I simply pointed to my ears, "Stupid werewolf sensitive hearing. So," she said now speaking to the both of us, "How is your pet nerd and your pet dork?"
