Thank God Louis came into the library an hour later and told me it was time to go. If he didn't I would have probably cancelled the date. We have been walking around the building and Louis has been talking. I kind of zoned out thinking about cancelling the date, I might cancel. I hear Louis say, "lastly, section 5 page 30 states that the royal hall is responsible for all maintenance and repairs of the rehearsal space." The old man we are have this meeting with says, "I'm aware of what the lease says, Mr Litt, having drafted it myself."

We stop at one of the pillars, "okay, well, then how do you explain this?" I take over, "the royal hall's knowing failure to fix the air conditioning system has created a toxic environment. Lead-based paint." I take some off the pillar and then Louis takes over again, "see, your disregard for the safety of your charges takes it form a tenant dispute to a criminal action, a fact that I will happily bring to the attention of the district attorney unless repairs are made yesterday." I like this more then I thought I would.

It turns out we got a bit too smug too fast, "then you'll be exposing the ballet itself, because the terms require they cover all repairs from a special fund they stopped paying into a year ago." Wait what? Louis shakes his head, "no, no, no, payments have been going out every month." He opens his file and pulls something out, "then perhaps you should figure out where they've been going in, because it's not here."

He shows us the proof and Louis looks through it all, "I'm sorry. I don't understand. Our financial records say--" The man interrupts him, "Mr Litt, we were willing to look the other way, but since you have come in here and threatened me, I'm going to take legal action of my own. We'll be filing for eviction. It's time the ballet moves on." This cannot happen.

Louis tells me to take the rest of the off, I get to the apartment building. I was about to open my door when I see Donna leaving hers. I walk up to her, "well look who's alive." She gives me a shy smile, "I'm sorry I was just so ashamed." She looks at the floors so I decide to change the subject, "never mind that, I have a date, and I need my sister." She smiles, "let me guess, was it Mike." I shake my head, "nope, it was Jake from the 99th precinct. He got my number and we texted all day and now I am going on a date in two days."

That night she dragged me inside and we drank wine and I showed her the messages. I could tell that she still wanted me to end up with Mike though. This time I'm going to take it slow and not open up too fast. I don't want to get my heart broken again.

I wake up the next day on Donna's bed and her next to me. My phone starts to ring and I pick it up and walk into the front room. I answer it, "hello Miss Paulsen this is Mr Clark's office I was told to ring you. Mr Clark would like you to know you have been officially suspended until further notice. This also means you will also not get any payments from us anymore." Before I could yell at her she hangs up. I try to call back only for it not to work. I try to get on the FBI data base and none of it is working.

I walk back to Donna's bedroom to see her awake, "who was that." I fall onto the bed, "work. I have just been official suspended because of a conflict with a case." She lays back next to me, "I was the conflict wasn't I?" I shrug, "could be you, or someone else." She looks at the ceiling, "who else is there."

I turn to her, "Jake may not be my first date." She turns to me, "what and you never told me?" I shrug, "I was embarrassed. I mean I was with him, but not at the same time." She raises an eyebrow, "tell me more." I sigh, "we was married." She sighs, "Daisy. I don't judge you. Now that I think about it why would it be him." I look back up, "I met him on a case. He was helping us expose a fraud in his company. He was the owners son, we fell in love. He told he was married after we did it. I was angry at first but then he came to me after one of the meetings and I forgave him." She looks up, "at least it wasn't your first time." I laugh, "true."
