(Outfit above.) It was the day of the funeral and I told Rachel I could handle it. I knock on the door and I see Mike in a shirt he looked like he slept in. I sighs and walk in, "well you are obviously not ready." He looks at his watch, "funeral isn't for another-- oh crap!" I sigh, "it's fine, I will find you something to wear, drink this coffee, and you get in the shower." He nods and goes to the bathroom and I see weed on his desk, "Mike... Is that the best idea." He shrugs, "it was one night." I nod, "so you wouldn't mind flushing it." He takes it from me and opens the packet and 'tips' it down the toilet and flushes. I know he faked it but don't say anything as he says, "thanks, Daisy."

We got there and I walk over to Mike, "Mike, I'm sorry it's time." He shakes his head, "I can't. I just..." I nod, "hey, I know this must be so hard for you right now, but if you don't talk no one will." He sighs, "there's no... none of these people even know her." I nod, "I know, but this isn't for them it's for you skinny tie." He puts his head back, "everyone is gone." Then a blonde says, "not everyone."

Mike looks at her with wide eyes, "Tess?" She gives him a small smile, "Mike." He asks, "how did you even--" She cuts him off, "my mom. I'm so sorry. What's going on?" I answer, "he doesn't want to speak." He shakes his head, "I can't." She nods, "you can. What's your name?" I say, "Daisy." She then looks back at Mike, "me and Daisy are gonna be right here. You can do this." I touch his shoulder, "I promise you are going to feel so much better, or a million times worse. Either way you gotta do it." He laughs a little and nods, "okay."

He walks up and starts to speak, "I, uh.. remember these things. I remember the night my parents were taken away from me. I remember my grandmother taking me in. She came to check on me. It was, uh... it was the middle of the night, and... I had wet the bed. And she cleaned the sheets, and she-- she cleaned me all up, and she put me in her bed, and, uh... you know, I... started to cry... really hard, and, uh... and she said, 'it's okay, Michael. It's okay. I've been crying too. But don't you wet this bed, because I have to sleep here too.' And, uh.. and we laughed, you know? In spite of everything, we laughed, and... and we kept laugh. We kept laughing until I fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning, she wasn't just my grandmother anymore. She was... she was my whole family. Well, I'm not 11 years old anymore. I'm not going to wet the bed tonight. But I will remember... That night... and everything she has ever done for me... for the rest of my life."

When he was done I gave him a hug, "you were great." Tess nods, "she's right. I'm Tess by the way." I shake her hand, "it's good to meet you, Tess." She smiles, "good to met you Daisy. Are you two..." We both look at each other and laugh and I say, "no, no. We work together. I assume you knew Edith?" She nods, "Grammy, was the best part of being friends with this guy." I nod, "so you've known each other for a long time." Tess nods, "short story is we've known each other since we were seven."

I laugh, "long story is you dated." Mike shakes his head, "we don't need to get into the long story." Tess says, "we shared a few milestones together, first beer, prom, sex." I laugh at Mike's face as he says, "and there's the long story." Tess then says, "I don't know about you two, but I think we should get drunk." I shake my head, "I can't I have to get back to work. I do not want to see you in that office, or I will fight you. Understand." He salutes me, "you got it princess." I give him a hug, "call me if you need anything. Great to meet you Tess, bye." She waves, "nice to meet you as well."
