Part 19

It's the next day and I spent the rest of yesterday getting all the things I need to get this job. I get a text in the morning from Jake saying, 'morning gorgeous' I message him back saying, 'morning handsome.' I put my phone down and get ready for the day. (outfit above). As I finish making my morning coffee my phone starts to ring. I drink some of my coffee and answer the call, "hello this is Mr Clarks office again here to inform you that you have been officially let go as we believe you have something to do with this case. Your old driver will be there soon to bring all of your stuff from your office." Then the line goes dead.

I really do have no job now, I pick up my coffee and put it into a to go cup that I can take with me. I pick up my bag and make my way downstairs. I see a big moving van and Luke walks out of it, "Miss Daisy, I have your stuff here. Do you want me to move it to storage." I smile, "yes please Luke and then I guess that is the last I will see of you.

Luke shakes his head, "of course not Daisy. I would rather drive you around then anyone back there. I quit." I look at him shocked, "what did you wife say?" He laughs, "the fact that you know me well enough to I have a wife and kid says it all. She supports me, and is still waiting for the day she can meet you." I laugh, "I can't wait to meet her as well Luke." He nods and says he will back and drives off to put away my stuff.

I wait and then Luke takes me to PH and I tell I will find some way to pay him around the same he used to get because I felt bad. I walk in and get to Jessica's office and knock on the door and then walk in. "I have all the details you asked for." The recommendation was from my boss back home. He had a bit of a soft spot for me. Something about me having puppy dog eyes.

Jessica reads over everything, "so is this going to be a permanent thing or temporary." I sit down, "well I was hoping a permanent thing, only because I was fired this morning." She nods, "of course that's fine. Go to the front desk and ask them to get you Rachel. I may have given you an office. I looked into you agent Paulsen." I smile, "more like former agent." we both smile and I leave to the front desk.

I get there and they call Rachel down. She walks up to me with a smile on her face, "you work here now! I am so happy to be working with a Paulsen again." I smile, "the firm isn't going to know what hit them." She laughs, "wait you're in the bar right?" I show her the paper work, "became a member this morning." She takes my hand and show me around.

We reach the corridor where her office is and I see my name on the office next to hers. it says 'Daisy Paulsen second year associate.' I turn to her, "why does it say second year?" She smiles, "Jessica said it was because of your reputation at your last job." I smile and walk into the empty office. It may be smaller but it feels like home.
