Donna's sister from back home

Part 25

After Mike left I decided to call in sick and spend the day wallowing in my own self pity. I am a monster, I was the part of an affair again, just this time I was the one dating a different person. I stay in my PJs for the rest of the day, (outfit above) and then I get a call from Donna. It turns out Louis did to her what he did to me. He asked her if she was in love with Harvey, then he didn't let her answer. I hear a knock on my door and I answer it thinking it's pizza.

Instead I open the door to see the man I cheated on. He takes one look at me and his face softens, "can I come in?" I nod and let him in. He sits down on my sofa and we sit there in silence. He clears his throat and turns to look at me, "this is probably the worst time I could do this but, you are a great and beautiful girl. It's just I really like someone else." My eyes widen and then I smile at him, "that's ok I think I like someone else too. I hope we can still be friends." He nods and brings me into a hug, "you like Mike don't you?" I nod, "and you like that Amy girl right?" He nods, "how did you know." I shrug, "you talked about her a lot." He laughs and I show him out.

I call Donna over and we both spend the day at mine sad and watching Netflix. I told her everything and didn't leave a thing out, "wow sis you really do have a complicated love life. I think you should go to Mike and tell him how you feel." I hug a pillow and shake my head, "I can't, I like him a lot yes, but he's hiding stuff from me still. I refuse to let myself get hurt." We cuddle for the rest of the nights and have one of our famous Paulsen sleepovers.

Donna left to pick up some food and I hear her talking outside the apartment building. I open the door to see Mike and Donna talking and I catch the end of it as Donna says, "but you know what, sweetheart, maybe you are. And I do not mean that as a compliment." I hold open the door for her and Mike looks at me and then Donna and he says, "look, I did what I did for the same reason you did what you did-- to help Harvey, that's all." Donna scoffs, "well, that worked out the same for you as it did for me, because in case you haven't noticed, in addition to screwing me, you completely shafted Harvey." I slowing back away leaving the two of them alone to talk.

My door opens and Donna walks in with the food, "Mike said he can fix this and I don't know how he plans on doing that." I sigh, "he'll find a way. Now what should we watch next? I was thinking a classic like 'clueless'." She smiles, "I think you should take this food and help Mike at the firm. I can go home." I stand up, "no I couldn't." She smiles, "get your butt dressed and ready missy you are helping that boy." I sigh and do as I'm told.
