I tell Frank what happened and we decided to have dinner another night when I don't feel totally embarrassed. I had spent the whole day hiding from Mike in my office. I get home and change into something comfier (outfit above.) I get me some ice cream and go on Netflix. I hear a knock on my door and open it to see Mike. "I thought you could used some company tonight." I open the door and let him in. "I bought Chinese food." I nod and get some plates, and another tub of ice cream with a spoon. "so princess what do you wanna watch." I shrug and flick through the movies, "I wanna watch 'a Cinderella story.' " He nods and we start to watch the movie.
Halfway I turn to Mike, "you know I'm not in love you right." He sets his plate down and turns to me, "then why didn't you answer the question on the stand." I shrug, "I don't know." He leans in but I stop him, "I'm with Jake." He sits back, "then where is he tonight huh. You said it yourself you don't love him." I sigh, "I barely know the guy, I only know about his job, family, friends, and some of his cool cop stories." He gives me a look, "you know a lot for barely knowing him." I huff and turn back to the movie. I could have sworn I heard him say, "I win."
I after the movie ends I look at Mike, "I'm not in love you." He nods and leans in closer, "and I'm not in love with you." He leans in and we kiss. I pull apart, "your hiding something from me still." He sighs, "you hid something from me." He caresses my cheek, "well you know my secret now and I don't know yours." He smirks, "so you don't want me to kiss again." I laugh and we start have a full on make out session. I start to lead him to the bed room. He stops, "are you sure?" I shake my head, "just shut up." I lead him to my bed and....
I wake up to my alarm going off and I then see my bed empty. I hear my phone ping and see it's Jake saying, 'morning beautiful.' I feel a pit in stomach and don't message him back. I get dressed and walk out to see Mike making breakfast, "morning princess, I hope you don't mind I made waffles." I nod and take the plate. He kisses my cheek, "Mike I--" He cuts me off, "I gotta run I have to help Louis prep for Donna if she shows that is." With that he's gone. What have I done.
