Donna's sister from back home

Part 35

A/N: This is a long part but I hope you still enjoy it.

We get to Harvey's floor and Mike says, "I still don't understand the thumbtack thing." I shake my head at the two as I look around and Harvey says, "surprising isn't it?" Mike nods, "yeah." I scoff, "will guys be quiet." Mike ignores me, "say what you want about this floor. I'm pretty sure the cubicles are bigger." I sigh, "I said shh, I think I hear something." We then get to his door and open it to see Louis with a box lid in hand, "hey, what's going on? How you guys doing? I was just helping, uh, helping unbox a little bit, 'cause, uh, Donna was feeling a little blue about moving."

Harvey looks mad, "what the hell are you doing?" He walks forward and Mike tries to stop him, "Harvey..." He then pins Louis to the wall and I shout, "Harvey!" He ignores us and says, "you looking for another way to make my life miserable?" He tries to hit him and I get there first and pull him off, "Harvey! No, you hit him they win!" Louis the straightens his tie and leaves and I shout, "consider this me taking back my forgiveness. Your alone Litt, alone with your title! I hope it was bloody worth it!"

Me and Mike start to check he didn't plant anything as Harvey says, "you should've let me hit him." I shake my head, "no I shouldn't of, but I don't think we should've let him leave." Harvey then asks, "how did you pull me off." I shrug, "FBI training." Mike then says, "obliviously Harvey, but maybe Louis wasn't snooping. Maybe he was, I don't know, trying to plant something, like-like drugs." He looks at us, "in my record collection?" I lighten the mood, "what better place to stash the weed than with the Bob Marley, man?"

Harvey counters, "Louis doesn't even know where to buy drugs, let alone plant them." Mike stand up straight, "I know where to buy drugs." I scoff, "congrats." He looks at me and Harvey as I join him by the window, "No, I'm serious. What if instead of peeing, we planted something in Hardmen's office. Unh, genius!" I flick his forehead, "maybe your stoned brain forgot, that's a crim." He nods, "Maybe. But he wouldn't hesitate for one second to do the same thing to get rid of Harvey." My eyes light up and Harvey looks at me, "what's that face for? Why is she making that face."

I smirk, "he wouldn't hesitate to plant something to get rid of Harvey." Mike looks confused, "what, Louis?" I shake my head, "no, Hardmen." Mike nods, "I just said that." Harvey looks like he's following, "your right, what if Hardmen planted the CM memo in the first place?" Mike finally catches on and we leave the office.

We pick up a stamp from a desk and Mike fiddles with it as I say, "my sister never saw the memo. Donna never makes mistakes." Harvey nods, "what if she never saw it four years ago because it wasn't there." Mike then uses the stamp, "and then it was." He hold up the paper to show the same stamp that was on the memo. Mike then looks at us, "you guys really think he had the balls to walk into that file room, open a box, and plant a document?"

We go down to the file room and me and Harvey look around as I explain, "no security cameras and no locks on the doors." Mike sighed, "fine, but how did he get the document in the first place?" Harvey explains, "Hardmen brought Coastal Motors into the firm." Mike counters, "yeah, but he wasn't here when the case went to trial." I correct him, "no, not the trail, the defect. What's the date Sarah Layton left CM?" He hands it to Harvey and he nods, "Hardman was still here." Mikes nods, "makes sense."

We walk out of the file room and Harvey says, "Sarah Layton confronts Kemp. He panics. Who's the first person he calls?" I smirk, "his lawyer. Hardman tells him to bury it." Mike then points out, "that's a crime." I shrug, "you said yourself he wouldn't hesitate to commit a crime" Mike catches on, "he knew the cars were bad from the beginning." He then stops walks and laughs running backwards. Harvey asks, "what?"

We now sit in Hardman's office flicking cards as Mike explains, "when Hardman came back, the first thing he did was ask Louis for a report on every case at the firm." Harvey continues, "yeah, he was looking for weaknesses. He knew the CM win was based on a lie, made it look like it was my lie." I spin in my chair, "which brings us to?" Harvey smirks, "Tanner." Mike leans back in his chair, "Hardmen couldn't bring the suit himself. He needed an executioner." Harvey then connects the dots, "and he picked Tanner. So when I suspected something was fishy, I'd focus on Tanner, not him."

(Outfit above.) It's now the next day and we explained it to Jessica and Harvey ends with, "they were in on it together." I pointed to Mike, "we went through every box that Hardman looked at to find dirt on Tanner. There was no dirt." Harvey says, "you need to call a partners meeting." Jessica looks vengeful, "I'll call for it... five minutes after you get me some proof. "

Me and Mike were in the file room and he says, "oh, my God. We were right." I smile, "we were?" He laughs a little, "I found it." I squeal, "you found it." He runs up to me, "I found it!" He spins me around and then kisses me. I push him off, "no, it can't be like this." He asks, "why?" He tries to kiss me again but I stop him, "because your Grandmother just died. You shouldn't make rush decisions like this when your grieving. It's not smart." He lets go of my waist, "and when has being smart ever made one of us happy. I think I should do this alone, I'll meet you after and we can tell Harvey together." He walks out and I sigh. I just made a big mistake and I know it.

Later that day Mike came into my office, "he won't sign it." I take the file and a pen, "you are so stupid sometimes." I sign it and he looks at me wide eyed, "that's illegal. You can't write someone else's name on a sworn document." I roll my eyes, "I wrote mine, I mean how often do they really look at a man's shoes. Now come on we're late." I drag him by the hand and he says, "about earlier." I stop him and kiss him, "you were right, however. I think we should wait for you to be in the right mindset. If you have to sleep with others to do that, do it. I want to be with you because you want to be, not because your mourning a huge loss. Now come on."

As we hear him say the evidence doesn't exist we walk in and Mike says, "well, actually, it does." Hardman then says, "this a partners only meeting." I roll my eyes, "boo-hoo, have Tanner sue us. But in the meantime, I think the rest of partners are gonna want to see that." I point to the file as Mike throws it to the middle and says, "it's a signed affidavit from Lawrence Kemp stating that he told Daniel Hardman about the defects in the CM hood six years ago." I smirk, "May 7th was the date of that meeting, per your calendar to be exact. Correct?" We then stand to the side as Harvey says, "you just denied knowing anything about that, unequivocally. I guess you were just lying to cover up the fact that you were behind this entire suit in the first place."

Daniel smiles, "is that the basis of this? A coerced lie from a man trying to say, 'my lawyer made me do'? No way that hold up in court." Jessica shakes her head, "It doesn't have to. It just has to make these Harvard-educated lawyers understand that you made each and every one of them spend $100,000 of their own money to buy you control of my firm." He shakes his head, "I think we've heard all we needed to hear. Harvey has admitted to violating the drug policy. All those in favour of his dismissal?" I watch Louis and he doesn't move and only three more partners raise their hands. Jessica then says, "looks like you lost. I'm glad you brought up the bylaws. Fraudulently suing your own firm is grounds for firing."

He shakes his head, "you have no proof of that." She ignores him and says, "all those in favour of Daniel Hardman's dismissal?" All the partners raise their hands and Mike whispers, "Harvey, I know we're not partners, but do you mind if we--?" He nods, "go ahead." I smirk and put my hand up, "nice." Jessica then says, "Daniel, that $3 million of our money you spent on yourself... consider your partnership bought out."

We are now in Harvey's office drinking and Harvey asks, "what was really on that affidavit, anyway?" Mike shrugs, "what I said was on it." He looks at us, "you guys realize it's felony to sign someone else's name to a sworn document." I roll my eyes, "you two must think I'm dumb. I didn't sign someone else's name, I signed my own. Like I said to Mike, how often do they really look at a man's shoes." He then raises his glass to Donna and Jessica, "to the firm of Pearson and kiss my ass." Jessica laughs, "I told you we'd be peeling him off the wall." Harvey raises his glass, "you go, I go." Jessica smirks, "he goes." When they turn to Donna she says, "I already went and came back." I nod, "I just got here so..." They laugh at us and I just drink.

A/N: I decided that Daisy is going to let Mike see other people and be okay with it until he's healed from his Grams' death. So please do stay in tune and the Tess reveal will be later then with Rachel because Daisy doesn't come to see him that night.
