Donna's sister from back home

Part 21

A/N: Hey guys I no longer have writers block, also please forget the whole partners thing I came up with when it come to Daisy and Mike, but Daisy will still be Harvey's second associate. Hope you enjoy this long overdue part.

Harvey looks at me and shakes his head, "no Daisy your off this. I want you to relax and stay as far from this as you can. Actually why don't you take an early lunch." I huff, "come on! I have had so much time off, I want in on some action." He gives me a look and I walk away in a huff, as I leave a walk passed Louis. So he gets to help and I don't, that is so unreasonable!

I walk out of the office building and call Jake, "Hey Jake do you think we could meet up at that coffee place?" As I wait for him to reply I try to get a taxi, "yeah I'll see you there in ten." I hang up and get in a taxi. Once we get there I walk in and grab a table. I wait for a couple of minutes and then Jake walks in.

"Hey have you ordered yet?" I shake my head, "nope I was waiting for you." A lady comes to our table and takes our orders, "I will have those right out." I smile at her and she walks away. Jake turns to me and smiles, "so why are you not at work, I thought you got that job at the firm." I sigh, "they are doing a in a house trail run for that case I was fired because of. My new boss wants me to take an early lunch and stay out of it." He nods, "well at least me and you can spend time together." I smile back, "so any interesting cases made there way to your desk?" He looks down, "I can't really talk to you about the one I was given." I nod and put on a fake smile, "got it no more work talk."

After my lunch date with Jake I make my way back to the office. I see Mike and walk up to him, "hey Mike." He turns and smiles at me, "hey princess." I smile at my old nickname, "so did I miss anything." He shakes his head and we start to walk and talk, "nope only that I now have to help Louis." I gasp, "what did you do to get Harvey to throw you in the lions den." He laugh, "nothing, I have to help him think outside the box with Harvey's trail."

We get to his cubical and I sigh, "so in other words you and Harvey are in the trail and I am out on the side lines." He gives me a small smile, "after this trail you'll get in on all the action, I promise." I smile back at him, and then I hear someone's voice behind me, "hey Daisy you left this at the coffee shop." I turn around to she Jake holding my purse, "Jake you are a life saver, I would lose my head if it wasn't screwed on." He laughs and gives me a kiss on the cheek, "so who's this." I look to see Mike's face drop slightly before smiling again, "I'm Mike, and you are?" Jake shakes his had, "Jake nice to meet you." I can feel the tension so I try to break it up, "well I'll let you get to work Mike, I'm sure I will find something to do." He nods and gets to work and I show Jake out.

I get back to my office and dial Donna's number, "Daisy? If you're trying to get me to help Harvey with his trail you can forget it." I sigh, "no. I need help, Mike and Jake just met. Mike did not seem happy." She lets out a small laugh, "of course he wasn't happy to see you with a different guy. He likes you." She's crazy I mean we're just friends now. Right?
