Donna's sister from back home

Part 36

It's been a week and Mike is coming back to work today. I went to check on him earlier last week and I think I saw a girl in there. I mean he did shoo me out rather quickly, I know I told him I wouldn't mind and that I could wait but right now I don't know if I can. I'm just going to try and act normal like I know nothing. It's the easy thing to do, I think. (Outfit above.)

I was in my office when he comes in and sits down, "hey, so I think we need to talk." I look up from my computer, "about what? Did Harvey give us a case?" He shakes his head, "I know, you know about Tess." I sigh, "I told you I would be fine with it anyway. Do what you have to do, just tell me was the first time the same day you kissed me." He looked down, "yes." I nod, "is that really fair to her, to be second choice--" He interrupts me, "she's married. I don't think she's really worried if she's second choice or not." Just then Harvey walks in before I can call him crazy, "welcome back. Who's ready for a great first day?" Mike asks, "Harvey, can you give a moment please." Harvey shakes his head, "I can't we actually have a crisis." I get up, "then let's get this show on the road." I put on a smile and follow Harvey out the door.

Harvey the stops me, "actually, Jessica said she needed to see you. You okay us doing this without you." I laugh, "just try not to kill anyone." He shakes he head laughing and him and Mike leave. I can't believe Mike is making the same mistake I did

. I try to clear my head and go to Jessica's office, "Harvey said you wanted to see me." She points to a chair, "please sit."

I sit down and she says, "I was told you were talking to someone you used to work with at the FBI. Anything I should know." I shrug, "the case I came here for has a lead. My friend gave it to me and not the FBI. Something about it being more personal, and that I should carry on trying to work this out. If you don't want me to then--" She cuts me off, "no, please. If you feel you are the only one who can do it, then by all means do." I nod, "thank you." She sends me a smile, "that will be all now." I stand up and give her a nod before leaving.

I was getting coffee with the guys and Mike just told us what happen with Katrina. Harvey scoffs, "you gotta be kidding me. She actually said that?" Mike nods, "yeah, I don't know if I settled a case or agreed to a bribe." I ask, "did she sign the plea offer?" Mike nods, "yeah." Harvey shrugs, "then 'A' because she can't rescind that thing unless new evidence comes to light, and I don't have to interview her for shit." I smirk, "good." He points to me, "yeah, good. I don't want to hire another associate ever again. The two I have cause me enough headaches." I smack him round the head, "I have never done that." He rubs his head, "you just did." Mike rolls his eyes, "you mean by winning cases?" I put my hands up, "I'll leave you two to fight it out, I have paperwork to do."

I was in the file room and Mike walks in and I say as a joke, "divorce is on 43." He sighs, "look, I know that you're mad at me, and I never meant to put you in this situation, but I would really appreciate it if you kept what I told you to yourself." I laugh, "have I told Harvey? No I haven't. You know when I said you could sleep with other people I didn't mean married women." I storm away and he cuts me off and says, "you have no right to judge me."

I yell at him, "do you think that you have a lock on bad decisions?" He yells back, "all I know is I'm not little Miss perfect." My blood starts to boil, "I've had an affair before too. You see the look on your face? Who's judging who now, Mike? And no, it was not some 50 year old man trying to take advantage of poor, young me. We were the same age, and I went after him. I already told you, I am not the goody-goody you think I am. You have no idea what you missed out on." I start to walk out and then I turn around and say, "I'll tell you something Mike, What you're doing only ends one way." Then I walk out.

I was in my office and Donna rang me and told me Harvey Hired Katrina. I sigh and walk to Harvey's office on my way there I see Mike leaving the building and we hold eye contact and then he get's in the elevator. I sigh and go into Harvey's office. I sit done and he looks at me and sighs, "you know." I nod, "I do, and I won't ask if you don't want me to. Just know if she tries to use the fifth year bull crap over me I will throw her ass out the window." He smirks, "noted. I did it to save Mike." I give him a small smile, "I guessed as much. I heard about the case you were on, I could have helped." He nods, "I know, so drink?" I shake my head and see flowers in the corner, "no, I think you should go give them to a very lucky girl." He get's up, "see you on Monday." I salute him, "bright and early boss man." He shakes his head smiling as he leaves.
