Fate is fate.

Caesar did become a bit distant, just like Joseph did. Only talking to you when needed. What could you say, the two of you did break up just a week ago.

"What?! You guys broke up?! No way!"
"Yes way, Suzi. Now flip that pancake before it gets burnt."

The female panics, doing as instructed. Letting down her guard, she turns her head to you.

"I'll admit, you guys did look like a cute couple.. So sad that Caesar got flirty with other women and had to ruin my favorite ship."
"Well, fate is fate, I guess."

She sets a plate of pancakes down at the counter for you, passing you the bottle of syrup. You nod, thanking her. Pouring the syrup onto your fresh pancakes, you mumble.

"Joseph started sleeping in my bed again. He says 'he misses the warmth.'"

She lets out her cheery laugh. Oh, what a beautiful sound. It lightened you at the slightest, making you smile a bit.

"Oh, Jojo. What a nitwit."
"Sucks for me, huh..."

Thank the lords that Caesar and Joseph were out of the dorm today. Suzi Q had begged them to go shopping for an item together. You wondered what their reactions would have been, completely blank or enraged? Taking a bite out of your breakfast, you sigh.

"I don't know what to think of Caesar at this point. I know that he's so much better than this."
"Yeah. Maybe he just let his heart go wild."

Letting out a soft smirk, you continue eating your food. You were free for the day, yet you had no idea how to spend it. Suzi was also off today, but who knows what she's going to do.

"Say," Suzi interrupts your thoughts.

"How about a girls day out? Just the two of us."

Hesitating, you nod, smiling at the female.
"Awesome! I'll go get dressed now."

You let out an airy chuckle, only continuing to eat your food. Finishing up, you walked to your drawer. You were in no mood to try and dress up. You were down in the dumps. Simply putting a linen oversized hoodie over your basic white shirt and black leggings, you slipped on some chucks and waited for Suzi to exit her room.

"What do you think?"
She says, showing off her outfit.
"Nice."

Smiling, she grabs her purse, heading out the door. You pull your hoodie over your head, tying a tight knot of your hoodie strings. It was quiet for most of the walk.

"Y/N.. I'm pretty proud of you for getting over the breakup so quickly."
"What can I say? We've only dated for a like what- A month anyway. No reason for me to wail over a fuckboy."

Every word you said was a lie. Nobody knew you sobbed your heart out, silently staring at the photos in your gallery of you and Caesar together. You admired the man dearly, maybe too much. Simply saying that you were fine only made your mental state more damaged by the second.

Suzi had taken you to a mall, showing it off whilst doing some sort of happy pose.
"Shop your heart out! It's on me."
"No. I'll pay."
"No!"
"Yes!"

The two of you argued for a minute, gaining a few spectators. You realized what commotion you caused, breaking into laughter. Suzi had won the argument, making you sigh deeply in defeat.

The little trip was fun, you had to admit. Even though you weren't the type to shop for so many things at once, with Suzi, it made everything a lot more enjoyable.

"So! How was that?"
"Nice.. I guess."

She smiles, twirling as the two of you walked back to the dorm.

"Hey, Suzi?"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks.. For cheering me up."

It took her a good second to realize what you said. Suzi Q broke into a large grin.

"I'm glad I helped!"
