The girls arrived at the party shortly after I did and as expected, there were a lot of hugs, squeals and compliments flying around as we reunited. I adored those girls and I think Oli loved the way I got on so well with his friends' wives and girlfriends. I did too. I always wanted that; to become part of someone's life in a bigger way than just being their partner. I wanted to be important to their family and friends and become part of their circle too. I never truly felt like I belonged anywhere when I was growing up, like I never fit in and Oli was really the first person who gave me a glimmer of what it would be like to have that life. He was the first person to really include me in all parts of his life and share me with the people he loved. I felt lucky that they accepted me with welcome arms too.
I was happy to see the girls again and we sipped pink cocktails as they raved about the show. I was also sure to remind them to pick up gift bags on the way out! I knew their other halves would appreciate those as much as they would seeing as there were massage oils, silky blindfolds, chocolates and vouchers for free lingerie inside, lol.
Oli, Luiz, the girls and I partied into the early hours of the morning, drinking, dancing and generally just letting our hair down. The pressure and nerves leading up to the runway show were gone, there were no more photoshoots or press events and I had no commitments what so ever for the next two weeks; just a ten-day trip to Asia to watch my incredibly sexy boyfriend sing his heart out to thousands of adoring fans. Well, scream might be more accurate. I absolutely loved that Oli and I got to watch each other perform, that we could be part of each others' passions and be there for one another, cheering each other on. We were planning on doing some sightseeing in Asia too, especially in Japan since it was one of Oli's favourite places in the world... I was going to surprise him with something special in Tokyo too since we'd be there for his birthday!
Oli and I arrived back at our hotel room at 4am and even though we should have gone straight to bed, he was not going to let that happen. He wasn't going to watch me parade around in lingerie and then NOT have his way with me... and he got me to pretend runway across our room, removing clothing as I did, lol. He definitely enjoyed the role playing and strip tease, but I was just as into it as he was. We had intense, fiery, passion-fuelled sex and we didn't get to sleep until 5am, but I was on holidays and so was he. We could afford to be a little reckless with our time for a change.
I woke up feeling pretty tired and not looking the best either, but it was nothing concealer couldn't hide. Oli decided he was going to hang out by the pool while I went out for brunch with the girls so I kissed him goodbye at 11 and headed out on my own. I met the girls at a cute café called L'eto and we caught up over tea, coffee and cakes. They asked about the runway show, if anyone had been weird to me and of course they asked about the Bond Street incident too. That seemed unavoidable. We talked about light-hearted and funny things too though and we reminisced about when we'd all first met, Reading Festival, the Green Day concert, the penthouse, Skrillex... I laughed so much with them that my cheeks actually hurt after a couple of hours together. The cakes and treats at this place were beyond amazing so I took some back for Oli and Luiz and the girls did the same for their partners before we said goodbye. I had really loved seeing the girls, especially having this 'girls date' with them. I really hoped that one day Behati and Hannah would get to meet them and we'd mingle as one big group. Maybe if Oli and I were to get married one day, it would happen at my bachelorette party, lol.
I was a little embarrassed when we left the café seeing as there was paparazzi waiting... I didn't understand how they knew I was there or why they really cared since a girls brunch was hardly scandalous, but the girls just laughed about it, joking that they were socialites, lol. God I loved them. I jumped into a cab to head back to the hotel for lunch, despite not being hungry at all... I guess I could just have a juice or something, but I wanted to have that last bit of time with Luiz since he was checking out and flying back to the US that afternoon. He was taking a much-deserved break while I was off to Asia to explore and support Oli on tour. I got bombarded with cameras as I headed into the hotel, but I met the guys and they were excited about the treats I'd bought them. We said our goodbyes in the lobby after lunch and Luiz reminded me about Oli and I's dating announcement while we were overseas. I had forgotten about it, but that was why I had Luiz. In a funny way, I was going to miss him, but it was nice to know that I was free from everything work-related for a couple of weeks. We waved as Luiz's car drove away, and then Oli and I were alone. Totally alone. For the first time in a long time, it felt like it really was just us - there was nobody else in the hotel; band members, Tom, my manager, nobody. Of course the paparazzi were outside and we were flying to Hong Kong that night so the alone time was going to vanish pretty quickly, but the Asia trip was an adventure in itself that I was really excited for.
