After a few days, Maggie finally let me go back home. But she was beyond pissed with me. Like, wouldn't even say goodbye pissed.

I pushed open the oak door, and saw the house was a mess. They was trash everywhere, and a few smashed photo frames. The pillows had been scattered all around the living room, one of them had even burst, letting go of a few feathers. There was noises coming from upstairs and a door opening.

"Ashley? Is that you?" I heard the familiar voice ask. I cringed, flashbacks of that night instantly coming back.

"Yeah, it's me" I croaked out. The footsteps started pounding down the stairs, and then I saw the brunette boy poke his head round the doorframe.

"Oh my god-" he stopped when he saw the casts around my arm, ankle and the bandage around my ribs peeking through the bottom of my shirt.

"Shit. What happened? The last thing I remember was you being late home, and I thought you were off with some other guy or something and I grabbed a few beers, and then it's all blank" he rambled out. A few tears slipped my eyes. I knew he wouldn't remember.

"Jake. It was you" I whispered.

"What?"

"You did this to me. I came home late from going out with a friend, and you were drunk. Before I knew it, I was in the corner of our room, with you beating me up" I told him. He took a step back.

"No. No, no, no, no, no. There's no way- I- but- shit!" He cried, falling to the floor. I stayed where I was, not really knowing what to do in this situation. He looked up at me with tearful eyes.

"Do you hate me?" He asked, his voice cracking slightly. I sighed and got down onto my knees in front of him, being careful with my ankle.

"No. I don't hate you. I am mad at you though. As a matter of fact I'm fucking furious! But I don't hate you. You weren't in your right state of mind" I told him, gently placing my hand on his cheek, wiping away a couple of tears. He pulled me into a hug, which hurt my arm at first, but I hugged back none the less.

"I'm sorry. I'm so so so so sorry. I promise I'll never do anything like that to you ever again" he whispered in my ear. I stayed silent, resting my head in his neck. I wished it could stay like this forever. But boy was I wrong.
