Kia's POV
It's 2 in the morning and I'm woken up by glass shattering downstairs. It's probably just my father again, I thought. I look down to see my bandages had blood all over them. "Shit... " I whispered to myself while walking to my bathroom. When I got to my bathroom in the mirror I see a picture of my best friend... Aka the only human keeping me alive and sane. I take my bandages off and put new ones on. I shut the light off, but before I leave I plant a slight kiss on the picture. I go back to bed and slowly drift to sleep.
7:00 AM Kia's POV
"Get up you slut of a mistake! " I hear my father yell as he stomps out of my room. " Good morning to you too dad. " I get out of bed and decide to put black leggings on with a black and white stripped long sleeved shirt. I make my way downstairs trying to avoid the small pieces of glass on the floor. "GET TO SCHOOL! " My father yells while getting a beer out of the fridge. I roll my eyes. I decide I'm not going to eat anything before school so I grab my hoodie, phone, and keys before I walk out the door. "I hope you rot in hell! " I hear my father yell as I close the door to the house. " Yeah... Love you too. " I decided I was going to pick up my best friend since I feel lonely, for some odd reason. I quickly drive to his house. I text him, Yo brotha I'm outside get the fuck in my car. I laugh at myself. After a couple minutes I see him step outside. I roll my window down and just stare at him with an evil face. "Jesus K bear, what's up with you? " He says while getting into my car. I look at him oh my god I want to kiss you so bad right now! My mind is going crazy... Well here goes all of my courage. I lean over and kiss his cheek. His face gets really red. "K... " He says slowly.
