The next day, Thea's parents head off to work and I call my mom to let her know I'll be home a little later. Tatyana and I make breakfast in the kitchen and she shows me this edit that she made out of the video of Thea and Katie last night. Instead of Thea throwing a box of junk at Katie, it's a bunch of poop emojis flying at Katie's face. Tatyana laughs, but I tell her not to post it anywhere, and she agrees.
"If you love your sister why are you always so mean to her?"
"I'm not mean to her I'm mean to her friends."
"Why?"
"To let them know, they can't mess with me."
"Katie messed with you?"
"Katie is a bitch!"
"So why are you mean to me?"
"I'm not mean to you haha." She jumps on the counter
"You are always insulting me and are sarcastic as hell."
"Yeah because it's funny you are a dork! If you tell anybody this, I'll kill you, but you and Laine are the only two people I trust with my sister."
"What's wrong with Kamran?" Tatyana seems to know a lot more about the students of Edenbury than I do. The doorbell rings and Tatyana goes to answer it.
"What do you want?"
"Tatyana you can't answer the door like that!"
"It's cool is Thea here?" Kamran is standing in the doorway glaring down at Tatyana.
"Thea, your boyfriend, is here!"
"We are just friends." Kamran says with a shy smile.
"Yo dude, sorry for you know ruining your party the hashtags on Insta are kind of cool if you ask me." Tatyana walks off into the kitchen giggling leaving Kamran and I alone.
"So how's she doing? I heard she went to Katie's last night after the party."
"Yeah, but she seems okay at least that's what she told me, but you know girls."
"Hey Kamran, what's up?" Thea walks up to Kamran.
"I was wondering if you wanted to get brunch and talk?"
"Um Jordan is here, and I don't-"
"Thea it's fine I have to get home I'll have breakfast with Tatyana and then get on the road."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah go have fun you deserve it."
"Thanks, you are the greatest friend ever Jordan! I owe you one. Kamran come in; I'm just going to go change!" I let Kamran in as Thea runs off to her room and slams the door.
"We are cooking in the kitchen if you want to come hang out."
"Uh sure smells good." He follows me into the kitchen where Tatyana is sitting on the counter throwing random crap into the sink.
"Oooh she let you come in must be serious." Tatyana has a small grin on her face.
"You have an arm on you where did you learn how to fight?" Kamran asks as he pulls a chair out from the table.
"If you must know I taught myself ever since I found out Katie and the anti-Thea crew were bullying my sister I decided to learn how to fight just in case you know they came at me too."
"Well, you hit Jake and Katie pretty hard."
"My best fight yet!" Thea comes out smelling like a vanilla flower wearing light wash jeans with rips at the knees, a gray t-shirt, pink jacket, and her favorite white slip-on shoes.
