Don't Give Up On Me

Chapter 3

    I drive to the school to pick up mine and Laine's homework. When I arrive, I tell the office lady that my whole family is feeling sick, but I was starting to feel better, so I decided to come pick up our homework, so we didn't get behind. None of the school officials know that we live an hour away from the school we just use my aunt's address, and that's how we get away with it. The office lady is kind, she hands me our homework and says she hopes my family feels better. As I get into the car, I receive a call from Thea.

"Hey, Thea!"

"Hey so problem both parents are working overtime, and Tatyana will be home alone."

"Where's Mason?"

"Who knows probably doing drugs in some dark alley. You know they don't get along anyways."

"Okay so let's just take her to the party with us. She's fifteen let her enjoy her teenage life."

"Are you sure? I just don't want Jake and his stupid friends messing with her. That's why I begged her to go to a different high school."

"Thea chill I will hang out with her at the party and make sure she is fine. While, you try to get Kamran to go out with you."

"I already told you that I'm done trying to make Jake jealous."

"Yes, but you have feelings for Kamran, and they've been real since you were 11. So, either way, you are going to that party, and you are going to make Jake jealous that he no longer has you, you are going to make every girl jealous that they don't look like you, and you are going to get Kamran to ask you to that fair."

"Alright! Alright! Martin Luther King you can stop preaching your I had a dream speech to me. Are you sure you can watch Tatyana?"

"Yes haha, I got you. Tatyana and I will have a fun and safe time at that party. "

"Thank you so much. Are you on your way?"

"Yes I have to shower at your house is that fine?"

"Yes just walk in I'll leave the door unlocked." I stop at Coffee Bean and get the girls and I some coffee.

I know I told Thea that she needs to go after Kamran tonight, but I also know Kamran doesn't like her that way. Kamran used to like Thea, but after she and Jake got serious Kamran lost interest. Now that Kamran is older he probably feels like he can't be with her in that way. If I'm lucky he will tell her that tonight, and that will give me the chance to finally tell Thea how I feel about her. I arrive at Thea's house and just like she said the door was unlocked.

"Hello is anyone home? I bought coffee!"

"You're a lifesaver I've had a headache all day!" Tatyana comes out of the hallway wearing ripped jeans a black 2Pac t-shirt and her favorite chucks.

"You look beautiful!" I tease

"I didn't know I was supposed to dress as if I worked at the AT&T store."

"Well, I'm not wearing this to the party."

"Oh I'm sorry did your party slacks get dry cleaned just in time for Kamran's rich white kid party?"

"Nope, I got a new outfit for tonight it's pretty dope."

"Holy crap, you are so old everybody says,"it's lit" now, and I can't wait to see what 'dope' outfit you've chosen for tonight's wack ass party."

"So old people don't say wack?"

"Shut up!"

"Whatever when you see my dope ass outfit you will regret all the mean things you ever said about the way I dress." Tatyana has never really liked me and she's always had some animosity towards me. I guess you can say it's because my family doesn't struggle the way her family struggles, but I've always liked that we have these sort of sarcastic conversations.
