I wake up in the morning with my back cramped because I slept in that stupid chair all night. I get up to stretch and wince at the pain. Thea is still asleep and it looks like she was up all night watching movies. I turn the TV off and go to the bathroom I don't know what that dream meant yesterday, but I wish Tocho were here to tell me what he sees. How could Thea still be in danger if she is awake?
"Jordan?" I walk outside the bathroom.
"Good morning you had a long night."
"You fell asleep after the second movie, and I wasn't tired, so I turned on something random and watched you sleep."
"Thanks for telling me to move somewhere comfortable."
"Yeah I figured that chair was uncomfortable, but you looked so tired I didn't want to move you."
"So what do you want for breakfast?"
"I'm tired of this hospital food we should order some real food like pancakes and bacon. I haven't had bacon since I was dating Kamran."
"Hahaha, I'll call Tatyana to bring some food when she comes."
"Tatyana? She can't drive?"
"She didn't tell you? She got her license like three weeks after your incident."
"Wow, you miss a lot when you're in a coma. Whose car is she driving?"
"Yours."
"Sounds like Tatyana haha she gives me three weeks and then takes my car does my room look like her closet now?"
"No haha but you both owe me a lot of sweatpants and t-shirts."
"Did you go into my room?"
"Yeah I slept in there a couple of nights."
"I'm sorry I put you through this Jordan; I just thought everyone was done with me it was one fight after another." I start to feel guilty, so I interrupt her.
"Thea it's fine let's just put this behind us."
"Okay."
"So while you were in a coma we threw this fundraiser for mental illness, drug abuse, eating disorders, and bullying."
"My mom told me she said you guys raised a lot of money. I forgot to thank you for that and for raising the money to pay for my hospital bills."
"It wasn't a big deal we had a lot of fun and Tatyana sang and she sounded really good."
"What? It takes me almost to die for my sister to sing? Please tell me someone recorded it."
I wish she would stop bringing up the incident like it's not a big deal. I pull my phone out to show her videos from the fundraiser.
"Look! So many people came out, and they had fun." She watches the video of Tatyana singing and tears form in her eyes.
"She's really good better than I am. Don't tell her that it will go to her head."
"Too late I already heard it after this you guys bring food to me. I want straight up bacon because I need to keep my protein count, got it!" Tatyana looks at her sister and laughs.
"Oh God, she's never going to let us forget this."
"You're damn right I'm not, you know leaving me hanging on that stage is the best thing you ever did for me Jordan. Now every time I walk around Edendale people say hi to me."
"I thought you said you didn't want to be famous?"
"That was before I realized my people needed me."
