The next morning we get up and take a family trip to the mall because Tatyana told my mom last night that I dress like Jake from State Farm and she agreed. My parents love shopping because they feel like it helps them stay current with the young people. My parents are in their mid-forties and are psychologists to troubled teens hence why they act like teens. At the mall, Laine and Tatyana go crazy looking for new outfits for me.
"Tatyana do we have to do this? How would you feel if I chose new clothes for you?"
"That's a good idea Jordan, Tatyana and Laine pick out clothes for each other. This could be a good learning experience."
"Mom seriously? Fine, then I'll pick some nice dresses for Tatyana."
"Hold it Jake from State Farm get one dress and I will ruin your life for good."
"Haha how? By taking away my friends? Oh, wait I have none!"
"Why did you just diss yourself like that?"
"I do a lot of things I'm not proud of!"
"Yeah like wearing khakis on a first date?"
''What else was I supposed to wear?"
"Anything but khakis!"
"She wasn't complaining!"
"She probably felt sorry for you because you were scared of roller coasters and then you had that run in with my sister."
"That's not true, but okay."
"Do you guys want to stop fighting in public?"
"Laine my partner in crime! He tried to make me wear a dress!"
"Gasp! How dare you Jordan Dante! Never make a fellow Libra wear things they are not proud of." Mom and dad laugh at us and then walk around PacSun looking for clothes to try on. My phone starts buzzing in my pocket.
"Hello?"
"Jordan!"
"Thea what's wrong?"
"What's wrong is my parents calling me to come home and I get here, and Mason is sitting down. They think I'm on drugs! I know you had a problem with me, but why did you tell my parents I'm on drugs?"
"I didn't say you were on drugs. I said I think you might be on drugs."
"What's the difference? You think I'm on drugs!?! I told you I wasn't and Kamran isn't on drugs either. Jordan what happened to us?"
"Thea, you became popular and let it ruin everything! I asked you to do one thing, and you couldn't even do it. How much could our friendship have possibly meant to you if you couldn't just do this one thing for me? I mean God Thea, I do everything for you when you need it done! Anything you ask for I give it to you!"
"Is this about the clothes? Jordan if you want the money back all you had to do was ask!"
"It's not even about the money Thea, it's the rumor!"
"So what about the rumor Jordan? Everybody is over it nobody is making fun of her."
"Thea, the comments on her Instagram pictures are horrible, and they all went up the day you shrugged off the rumor like it was true."
"So what do you want me to say I'm sorry?"
"I'm not the one you need to apologize to, and I'm not your friend anymore so you can call somebody who cares!"
"Jor..." I had to hang up because I'm enraged with disgust. One thing I do understand in this world is that pain is a reaction to being injured whether it be physical or emotional. Thea was caused pain by others growing up, which led her to cause pain to someone else's life. I don't know if Thea and I could ever be friends again because I don't like pain.
