When we get to the Blackwell household only one person is home, Mason.
"Where have you been?"
"I didn't want to be around everyone the first couple of weeks because all the crying was messing with my high."
"That's insensitive you would think it would make you rethink doing drugs." Why does Tatyana always have to start a fight with him when I'm around?
"Not my fault she couldn't handle her drugs she was too weak."
"What?" Tatyana and Mason look at me and Mason says,
"Oh so you do speak?"
"Yes I do and Thea is your sister have a little more respect."
"Thea doesn't give two shits about me! Do you think they would ever care as much if that was me lying on the hospital bed with tubes connected to me?"
"Yes, I honestly do believe that they would care because all these girls ever talk about is how much they wish you'd stop doing drugs so you can finally be a family."
"What family? The only reason my parents started paying attention to any of us is because your parents gave them money. How pathetic is that? People had to pay my parents to give us attention."
"They wouldn't have to if you'd get up and go find a job and help them out!" Tatyana cuts in
"Why don't you go find a job or is rapping going to be your career?"
"At least I have a talent all you do is blow smoke rings out of your mouth for red vines."
"Shut the hell up Tatyana!"
"Stop talking to her like that if you didn't notice regardless of the way she speaks she's a young girl!"
"Get the hell out of my face I can talk to that little bitch, however the hell I want! It's a free country and I have freedom to say whatever the hell I want!" That is the number one statement in America that I hate. People feel that because they have a mouth and this extensive vocabulary they can go around saying whatever they want to anyone.
"What did you go mute again?" I punch Mason in the face and we get into a fist fight.
"If you guys don't stop Mason I'm calling the cops!" Tatyana yells and Mason gets up and walks out the house.
"You almost got your ass kicked Dante. What were you thinking?"
"I was standing up for my fellow bomb squad member." We laugh and I wince from the pain of getting punched in the stomach and eye.
"Let me get you some ice you weak ass why would you punch him?"
"I hate that people think they can say whatever they want just because they live in a country with free speech. In other countries a lot of the time they can't say anything. Why waste time and breath insulting people."
"Okay Mandela, let's just go to my room." We go to Tatyana's room and watch Netflix it's 1 A.M. and neither of us is tired.
"Do you think Laine is ready to see Thea?" I break the silence
"It doesn't matter she needs her real friends to be by her bedside, not her fake friends."
"Fake friends?"
"Kamran, Shayla, and Katie came to see her the week after everything went down."
"I thought Shayla hated Thea for saying that stuff to Laine?"
