When I wake up the next morning Tatyana isn't in the room and I have to pee. I open the door but freeze for a second because I can hear whispering. I try to listen but I can't make out who is speaking, and then I hear footsteps coming down the hall. I close the door slowly and run back to the floor and pretend to be on my phone.
"If you are going to eavesdrop you're going to have to be sneakier than that shit dick. Haha!"
"Well, actually I had to pee you asshole."
"So you're not a morning person. What about you Laine?"
"Don't even talk to me right now."
"Aww does boozy have a hangover?" We laugh and Laine moans from the pain in his head; I ignore him though.
"Did Thea come back?"
"Nope, my parents are concerned, but we know Thea and she wouldn't do anything to hurt herself."
"Even with everything that's been happening? She left in the middle of the night drunk that's pretty harmful to me."
"Well then do you want to drive around looking for her?"
"Yeah, kind of."
"Then let's go!"
"Right now?"
"Well, you already ruined her life."
"You mean we?"
"Yeah our squad."
"We're not a squad."
"Are you sure? We could be like the Suicide Squad, but better like the Bomb Squad cuz we blowin' shit up!"
"Okay let's just go look for your sister because you're getting ridiculous."
"C'mon Laine the bomb squad is going on a mission!"
"Tatyana shut up go by yourselves!"
"Fine grumpy I'll bring you back a milkshake!" Tatyana and I get in my car and I realize I still haven't gone pee, but the more time we waste the more I think about how Thea could be in a ditch somewhere.
"Where should we go first?"
"I don't know she's your sister."
"Yeah, but she's your best friend."
"Fine let's check the park."
"The park? Wow! Sherlock you're such a great detective!"
"Sorry, I don't watch CSI."
"Shut up just go to your stupid park. We could have walked there you know."
"Well if she's not there then we can drive to the beach or school."
"Why would she be at school?"
"The Theater room is where she likes to go when she has a lot on her mind."
"You think my sister was brave enough to break into our high school? Haha, are you sure you guys were best friends?"
"Well I don't know Tatyana I don't see you coming up with places."
"That's because before all of this my sister used to talk to me when she had problems. We used to tell each other everything and now it's gone to shit." We get out of the car and check the park to see if Thea's here. I go over to the slides to see if maybe Thea fell asleep inside one last night, but no sign. Tatyana checks the bathroom in case Thea needed a semi-decent place to throw up.
