Chapter 21

  The next day I wake up next to Thea in her room, and I quickly check my body to make sure my clothes are still on.

"Chill boy I know I'm going to be gone, but I'm still a virgin."

"Why don't I know what happened last night?"

"We got home close to 2 A.M., and we all hung out and watched Netflix, but you fell asleep once the movie started."

"On your bed?"

"Yeah, Tatyana might have taken pictures." She laughs

"They're on Insta already so there is no going back." Tatyana pops her head up from the ground.

"What?" I ask

"It's okay they're all cute." Thea laughs again

"It's payback for the Cadence thing he keeps texting me, and now I don't know how to stop it." She throws her phone at the wall and it vibrates.

"Ugh!!! God hates me." Thea and I laugh at her

"Oh yeah Tatyana, when God hates people he gives them the gift of a really hot guy who is nice." Thea tells her

"This is my unique form of punishment he knows my weaknesses." Tatyana goes underneath her blanket, and I get up to check my phone which is dead.

"Here, I already text your mom last night I told her you'd text her when you wake up." Thea says while handing me her charger.

"Thanks, I probably should head home so you can spend your last day with your family." I tell her

"You are my family Jordan." She pulls me back in bed

"You guys are disgusting. I'm going to my room to sleep off this Cadence-over." Thea and I laugh. Tatyana opens the door, and my mom is standing at the door mid-knock.

"Hey kids!" Mom throws clothes at me and way too exhausted and confused to ask what she's doing here I get up and head to the bathroom. When I get out Thea is in her room sitting on her bed staring at her closet.

"Are you okay?" I ask her

"I was just staring around my room I wasn't in here for most of the summer and now I won't be back in here until after Christmas." A tear rolls down from her eye and my heart begins to break.

"Thea look at me you are such an important part of my life, and I always do what I think is best for you. If I didn't believe that this rehab thing was good for you i'd take you and we'd drive far away from this place. I love you so much though, and I want you to know that you will get through this. If you have dark nights in that place remember you can always call me. I will be up at any hour ready to talk to you just please don't get to the point where you feel like you can't do it anymore because you are so strong." Thea stares into my eyes, and I can see she's hurting and lost, but she's Thea, not the new Thea that treats people like crap, but the old Thea that over thinks everything she says before and after she says it. I grab her face and kiss her not like we did at the hospital, but this time it's fiery and passionate and she kisses back. Her lips are so warm and I can tell we are going down a road we did not intend on visiting today. Luckily, since my brother didn't care about his virginity I have to walk around with condoms in my wallet.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Thea asks

"Me? Are you sure?"

"Yes I love you, and you've always been the greatest guy to me." I get up to look in my wallet grab the condom, but then Tatyana walks in.

"Mom told me to tell you guys to come ea...were you guys just....nevermind come eat you nasties."

"Cockblocked by the best." Thea laughs
