Idiot.

I knew that was gonna happen.

"ASH!!" Sal yelled and stood on the table to look down the trash chute. "ASH! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!"

Nothing but echo.

I sighed in disappointment. "We have to get her back!" Sal said before he got really quiet. "Sal?" Larry asked. "Another vision," I said, "give him a minute." There was a minute of silence. Sal gasped,"I know where it goes! Get Todd and meet me in the basement! Come on, Scar!" He grabbed me wrist and ran out. "Bye Larry!" I shouted before we left.

~~~
"Where's Sal?" "Wasn't this room locked before?" "Guys! Come in here and look what I found!" Sal yelled from inside the once locked room in the basement. We all walked in to see a trap door on the floor. "I didn't know this was here," Larry said. "I didn't know about this either,"Todd said,"it isn't on the blueprints." "Ash has to be down here. It's the only place the chute could lead too," Sal said as he opened the trap door,"Come on guys." The four of us exchanged an uneasy look before we ventured down the darkened stairs.
"What the hell?" I asked once we walked into the main area. It was a dimly lit room with huge metal bars that were probably a gate blocking anyone from getting through. There was books on podiums and a disarranged symbol on the ground. "It looks like some sort of cultist lair," Todd explained. "Centuries of blood and demon worship...This is freaky as hell,"Larry said. "Split up and look around, there's got to be something here that help us,"Sal said and we all split up.
"Looks like some sort of puzzle," I said. "Agreed," Sal said as the two of us began to try and figure out the puzzle. Sal activated two green lights and I pulled the levers so the turning symbol in the middle of the floor was lined up correctly, then Sal stepped on a panel in the floor which opened the gate. "Hey Todd, could you come stand on this while Scar, Larry and I go try and find Ash?" Sal asked. Todd nodded and stood on the panel,"Good Luck you three. Don't get lost, I don't want to lose anyone else down here." Sal, Larry and I nodded and went to find Ashley.
"There's only two doors. We have to split up." I sighed,"Always with the splitting up. Has anyone ever heard of safety and strength in numbers?!" Sal and Larry gave each other a high five for good luck. "Watch over her Larry, keep her safe," Sal said. "I will. I promise," Larry said,"You have my word." Sal nodded and smiled at me,"Good luck." "You too, Sal. Don't die. As much as I hate you sometimes, I still need you," I smiled a bit and Sal shook his head before walking through his door. "Ready?" I nodded and Larry and I ventured through our door.
"I never would've thought if I would've asked you out that you would've said yes,"I glanced over at Larry to find him grinning next to me. I crossed my arms,"Not my ideal first date to be exploring a cult's evil lair." Larry punched me playfully on the arm and we both laughed. "That isn't what I meant. I didn't think you would've liked me too,"Larry explained. I just shrugged,"I didn't say I liked you. I just said I'd go out with you to see what it's like. "Aw. Damn. I tried,"Larry shrugged.
"Aw shit,"Larry said as we walked into another puzzle room. "Ooh! I got this," I said as I began looking around to solve the puzzle. I looked at the corner of my eye to see Larry watching me,"WhAt?"
"Nothing. Just keep doing your thing," He was staring at me which made me kinda uncomfortable. "Pfft, yeah, ok," I mumbled before I solved the puzzle, opening another door.
"BOOM!" I yelled and Larry laughed. The two of us walked through the gate to see Sal. "Oh hey bro," I greeted Sal. Sal waved. We looked around to see a piles of bones...and Ashley unconscious on a pile.
"Ash!" Sal ran over to her,"Ash are you ok? Can you hear me?" "Huh?" Ashley said confused,"What's going on? Where-Where are we?" "Dude, you fell down the trash chute and we thought you were gone for good," Larry said. "Are you ok, Ash?" Sal asked. Ashley nodded,"I'm fine." "Todd's holding the gate open for us, we should go," I said and we all went back to the basement.
~~~

"What are we gonna do now?" Ashley asked,"we can't just ignore all this." "Mrs. Packerton probably had help,"Todd explained,"like outside help." "Maybe we should just kill her,"Ashley suggested. "WHAT?!" Sal and I screeched. "Packerton. If we kill her it'll end it all. She's old it shouldn't be that hard,"Larry said. "No. We're not gonna kill her,"Sal said firmly. "We're gonna sleep and figure it out on the morning," I said. We all said bye and headed out separate ways.

"Murder her? Are they crazy?!" Sal exclaimed once we got into the elevator. "I know. We're not gonna murder her," I said and ran my hands through my hair. Sal sighed,"What have we come to?" I shrugged,"I don't know." "We came her for a new start. Now look what happened,"Sal complained. I sighed,"At least we made friends."

Friends that care for us...

Friend that'll stick with us until the very end...

Even in the mess we got ourselves into.

That's all I can really ask for.
