I went to the only place I could think of where Jackson wouldn't fine me - my old apartment. After both Kiera and I moved into the pack house, we had most of our stuff delivered from our apartment. The only thing left now were the furniture and some old objects that held no sentimental value. Sitting on the bed in my old bedroom, I stared out the window at the night sky. The sky was coal black, the stars shinning down like hundreds of tiny diamonds glimmering in the night sky.
'It only takes a fraction of light to outshine an infinity of darkness'
My mothers words echoed in my ear as I tried my hardest to hold back the tears.
Flashback
"Mummy, mummy, look what I made" a sweet little five year old girl yelled holding a drawing as she ran towards her mother who was sitting down at the dining table. The girls hair fell in loose curls just below her shoulder as her emerald green eyes shone with excitement.
"Oh baby, its beautiful" the girls mother exclaimed as she picked her daughter up and set her on her lap, her fingers running smoothly through the childs brown curls.
"Its a wolfie mummy, I made it for you" the girl said happily as her mother looked down on her with love and admiration.
"Thank you so much Allison, I love it" Allison's mother said whilst she placed a kiss on her daughters forehead.
"Where are your brothers?""Tiger is training with daddy and I think Jakie, Zach and Alec are with uncle Jeremy" Allison said as she leaned her head against her mother's chest.
"And what about Seth?" The women asked gently. After a few moments of hesitation, Allison finally answered. She knew better not to ignore her mothers mother's questions, it was manners.
"Me and Seth had a fight" the girl whisperd nervously knowing her mother didn't like when Allison and her siblings fought, although it was mostly Seth she fought with.
"Tell me what happened sweetie"
"Well, Seth was playing in the woods with Dylan and Finn and I wanted to play but he said no. So I got mad and started yelling at him. I...I said some mean things mummy, I'm sorry" Allison hung her head low in shame as she awaited for her mother to tell her off.
Her mother was very caring and understanding but she wouldn't hesitate to correct her children when they were in the wrong. She believed that even though they are children, it's best to learn them their rights from wrong when they are young. Especially Allison. She wanted her daughter be able to have a good childhood but also to be able to prepare her for the role as Queen that she will take when she comes to age. And that included explaining to her that it's best not to fight with her brothers.
"It's ok sweetie. I understand that you and Seth fight sometimes but his your brother. And since you acknowledge that you said some mean things, I think you should go and apologise to him" the childs mother said as she placed her daughter on the ground and turned her to face her.
