I awoken to the noises outside. As I layed in my bed for a moment, I tired to understand some of the screaming that was going in just outside my bedroom door. It was still dark; probably after midnight. I knew I was asleep just a few hours; my bedtime was usually 8pm. I sat up in my bed after a moment, my eyes stinging from the lack of rest. The screaming got louder and louder. The louder it came, the more the fear came over me. I grabbed my teddy bear, whom I named Rex, and squeezed him tighter against my chest. I closed my eyes tight, still holding on to my bear like my life depended on it. Rex had always been my source of comfort ever since my oldest brother Sam got him for my fourth birthday almost two years ago. My brown wavy hair fell over my face and I could feel the tears building up in my eyes. What was going on?

Slowly I crept out my bed and made my way towards the door. I hesitated for a few moments debating whether or not I should go out and investigate. As I reached on my tippy toes, stretching my hand out to grab the door nob, I heard someone running down the hall. Fear once again took over me as I ran behind the door to hide. I huddled up like a fur ball clutching onto Rex and shut my eyes.
The door slammed open and someone ran breathlessly into the room.

"Allison? Allison? Where the hell is she?" I could feel the panic in Seth's voice as his eyes quickly wandered around my bedroom is search for me.

"Seth?" I whispered, still huddled up like a ball against the wall.

"Allison!" He said with relief as he turned around to look down at me.

"What's going on?" I whispered in his ear as he lifted me up and cradled me. I unconsciously wrapped my tiny arms around my brother neck as he rubbed my back trying to sooth me.

"Everything's gonna be ok sweetheart. We're gonna get you somewhere safe". I could feel the panic in his voice as the tears began filling his eyes. Suddenly, my brother Jake ran breathlessly into my room.

"We gotta go. NOW!" his voice was loud and demanding, which was expected from the packs future beta.

I rested my head in my brother's shoulder as we ran through the hallway and down the stairs. Just as he got to the ground floor, Seth stopped and placed me on the ground.

"Ali you need to listen to me ok?! There's a war going on and your in danger. Dad's in trouble and I need you to listen to me very careful" he placed his index finger under my chin and lifted my head so my eyes met his. Tears ran down my face as I grabbed onto his shirt tight.

"You need to hid. As soon as this is over one of us will come get you. You must not under any circumstance come out" he ordered me as he placed me down being the large piano that was seated in the corner of our large music room.

"Please don't go" I begged as I pulled his shirt harder, trying to convince him to stay.

"I'll be back. You need to stay right here. Do not come out. Understand?" And with that he turned and ran through the doors and out towards the noises.

I sat quietly for what seemed like hours. The noises outside kept getting louder, with more screaming and noises coming closer to our palace. It all happened to fast. The door burst opened and I could hear my dad running about the palace, down the hallways yelling my name.

"Allison? Allison? Where are you?" He shouted through the hallway as he entered the music room.
I rose from behind the piano and ran towards his voice.

"Daddy!" I screamed as I wrapped my arms around his legs and squeezed his tighter, not wanting to let go. He lifted me up and wrapped his arm around my back as his other hand ran through my hair. He kissed me a continuously on the forehead and cheeks and he inhaled my scent in attempt to control his anger.

"Oh baby! Are you ok?" He asked pushing me out so he could examine me from head to toe.

"Where's mummy?" I whimpered in a low voice truly concerned for my mother.

"Oh baby! I'm so sorry!" He cried as he held me tight again. My heart stopped. I was only six years old but I was wise enough to understand what he meant. My mother was dead. But how did she die? Was she killed during this war that was taking place on the palace grounds?

All I could do was cry. I wanted to scream, I wanted to go back asleep and wake up wishing this was just a nightmare. But my voice wouldn't allow me to scream and I knew this wasn't a dream but my unfortunate reality. I held my father so tight I was digging my nails into his hard skin. But he didn't budge, not in the slightest. Instead he cried with me, mourning my beautiful mother together.

Sam ran through the door in panic. There was blood covering his clothes and his young face looked like it aged ten years with worry.

"Is she ok?" Sam asked my father as rushed over to look at me. He just nodded his head as he carried in crying. I turned my head the other direction to face Sam. He then realised that I knew what had happened but instead of giving me words of comfort, he leaned his forehead against mine as we all cried together.

A few minutes later a young man ran to my father.

"His here your highness. His looking for her" the young man's voice didn't hold any emotion. He looked at my father waiting for an order as to what to do next. Instead my father turned to Sam.

"Take her. Get her as far away for here as possible and don't look back" he ordered as he passed me to Sam. I fought against him, screaming and reaching for my dad, begging him not to let them take me away. I lost my mother, I couldn't bear to loose my father too.

"Please daddy, no!! Don't leave me!!" My voice could bearly be understood through the crying.

"Your brothers will take care of you now, they'll keep you safe. I love you Allison, never forget that" his voice was breaking as he said his final words to me. But to me it wasn't goodbye. It couldn't be. I sobbed as Sam carried me away, still fighting to be released.
"Go" my father commanded and as I looked back my vision became blurry.

But what I seen would haunt me forever. My father standing there on his own as several wolves came face to face with him. But the one who started all this, who declared war on his own King, the he had sworn his loyalty to, stepped forward.
The look on his face said it all; I win.
I watched helplessly as several wolves held my father down, his attempts to fight back useless. The man stooped low until his mouth was next to the Kings ear and whispered something unknown to him as he grinned, then slowly ripped my father throat out with his claws. This man was a monster, a traitor to his own kind.
The man I hated every since that night. The man I was destined to meet again; the man who wanted to kill me.
