"that was so boring." han groaned as they left their first class.

"it wasn't boring, you just don't appreciate what you learn." luke said with a laugh, han smiling down at him.

"maybe i was distracted." the boy said, putting his arm on luke's shoulder. "i'll see you at lunch, your highness!" he turned down another hallway, leaving luke alone.

-

"leia!" luke called out as he caught her in the hall. it was now lunch time. he linked his arm with hers as he pulled her to the where han told him the cafeteria was in class.

"what? i was with my friends" she pouted, but still walked with him. "how was your classes?"

luke shrugged, "they were good, i had han in my first class though.." she let out a soft gasp.

"seriously? what'd you guys talk about?"

"hardly anything, but he kept poking me with his pencil," luke huffed, "and i caught him staring at me a lot." leia just giggled, nudging her brother.

"he probably likes you, idiot, or at least actually wants to be your friend. it's a good thing!"

"it is?" he asked in hope as he looked down at her. she just smiled and guided him to a table in the cafeteria. it was an empty table, only luke sitting at it while leia went to get some food.

he put his head in his hands, leaning over the table and observing all the other people. his eyes landed on han across the cafeteria, surprised to find that the boy was already looking at him.

luke's eyes widened, he was half shocked and half creeped out. han grinned at him, telling his friends something before suddenly getting up.

luke watched him walk over, lifting his head up off his hands and crossing them on his lap. "your highness." han said as he arrived.

"hi?"

"can i sit?" luke just nodded, watching as he sat across from him. "where's leia?"

"getting food," he replied, "i think?" she was taking a while.

"hm," han replied as he leaned back in his chair. "does your dad allow people inside the castle?"

"well yeah, why?"

han smiled and got up, "no reason. bye, luke." luke watched him leave, a confused expression on his face. that was probably the quickest conversation luke had ever had.

leia returned a minute later and the two of them enjoyed their lunch, luke forgetting to tell her all of what had happened. she would have just teased him anyway.
