luke led han to his room once again, luke sliding his hand on the walls as he went by. he was still a little shaken up, hoping he would get an answer when they were in his room.
they passed leia's room, giggles coming from behind the closed door. he finally reached his room and opened the door, letting han in then closing it.
the other boy sighed and flopped down onto his bed. luke watched from the doorway, "you gonna tell me now?"
han huffed and laid a hand over his face, "come here." luke hesitantly made his way over to his bed, pulling the notebook from his pocket and putting it on his bedside table before sitting down next to the boy. han gestured for him to lay down, so he did.
"it's really nothing." han said softly, turning to look at luke. luke was staring back at him. he didn't answer, forcing han to go on. "i just... might have stolen from there before and they knew it was me. it was a while ago though! and i was gonna pay this time," he frowned.
luke continued staring, scoffing after a few seconds. "what's with you and stealing? are you sure you didn't steal the book?"
"i'm sure, i wouldn't do that to you."
"okay, what were you trying to buy earlier?"
han shrugged, "just some toy."
luke smiled and held back his laughter. "a toy?"
"yeah," han smiled back, laughing softly. luke giggled himself, stopping because of how it sounded. han just laughed harder.
they laughed together for a minute or so, dying down when they heard leia yell something to them. she bursted through the door seconds later, luke sitting up quickly. he didn't know why he did that.
"you sound like a maniac in here! han?" she stopped with her hand still on the doorknob. han smiled up at her, arms crossed under his head as he still laid there. "what's he doing here?" she said to luke while looking at han.
"he found me in town and," he stopped, not knowing how to continue without the truth that will annoy the girl.
han spoke for him, "i showed him around then walked him here. i asked to come in, princess." he left out details, which calmed luke down. he would have blew it.
she watched the two of them suspiciously, arms now crossed. "okay then. my friends just left, i'm gonna go watch tv," she smiled to herself. "enjoy the ewoks without criticism."
once she left, luke let out a sigh and laid back down. "you need to relax, kid." han said as he stared at the ceiling. he noticed little glow in the dark stars and smiled wide, "cute stars." the other boy groaned and rubbed his eyes.
"thanks."
