monday came along, and luke stared up at the ceiling as he woke up. he didn't want to go to school, he had no idea why, he just didn't. but he got out of bed anyway.
leia watched him in silence from the kitchen as he came down the stairs, pulling on a denim jacket. luke looked at her for a split second before walking straight out the door with his bag.

the school halls weren't too crowded since he was early. luke walked through to his locker and opened it, pretending to be busy to hide his loneliness. he shut it after a while, realising it would be stupid to just rearrange things for half an hour.
he watched as people walked past him, trying not to make eye contact with anyone around him. he just wanted to find han, no matter how much he really didn't feel like seeing him.
luke let out a small noise of relief when he saw the boy walk through the doors. their eyes locked immediately and han made his way over. "hey, luke! where's your sister?"
"probably making her way over. why?"
han snorted, "you just left her?" luke nodded, he didn't want to fill han in on the stupid drama. it would be confusing without the whole reason it happened.
she walked in a few seconds after, giving luke a sad look when she got to their lockers. he just took a step away. "hey, princess, some trouble with the twin?" leia glared at him, but softened the look instantly.
the bell rang. "alright, you guys freak me out." he gave luke a nudge, "come on, we have class." they walked away together, leaving leia to walk to her own class. luke hoped that han wouldn't ask about the whole situation, but he did.
"what's happening with you two?" luke shrugged, earning another nudge from the boy. "come on, kid! tell me, it can't be that bad."
"i can't tell you," he entered their classroom, going straight to the back where they sat last week. han frowned and followed. he decided it would be better not to ask again.

"leia!" the girl looked up in the hall, turning around. she was walking to her first class when she saw han running to her.
she stopped walking, "what's up?"
"look, i just wanna know what has happened between you and luke. he won't tell me." han looked distressed, which saddened the girl. he did like luke, it was so obvious, but who knows if it would ever happen.
leia just needed to help her brother, "he'll tell you in his own time. let's just say i was insensitive.." han sighed, thanking her before making his way to his class.
the girl slowly began walking again, thoughts running through her head.
she didn't mean to ruin it all with luke, she was just confused herself. leia had slight feelings for their friend, she hated to admit it though. she knew it was just a stupid crush, they had hardly spoken and when they did it was just arguing.
but something made the girl like him, and she had to hide her disappointment when luke told her all those things because it would have been so horrible of her. she didn't do so well later on though.
a frown was now planted on her lips as she entered the class.

han couldn't help but be distracted the whole of his class. he had never thought about his feelings before, he just played around with a few girls. but luke made him feel so different. he wanted to just buy him anything his heart desired, and give him sweet kisses on the head.
his eyes widened by what he was thinking. you've gone soft, he told himself in his mind. shut up! was his argument back. han then realised how stupid he was talking to himself in his head.
the book han was using was now full of little scribbles, a way to put his mind at ease. he hoped that luke had used the notebook he had given him, and a smile formed on his face thinking about the boy. a small paper ball landed on his desk.
he furrowed his brow, confused as he picked it up and flattened it out. you look like an idiot. han became even more confused, looking to his left to find one of his friend's looking straight at him.
the other boy snorted, turning his attention back to the lesson. he figured he probably did look like an idiot smiling for no reason. he crumbled up the paper and put it in his pocket, finally paying attention to the lesson himself.
he was still half distracted thinking of luke.
