luke pouted when han told him he had to leave a few hours later. the small boy tried to pull him away from his room door but it was no use. "i'm sorry, luke, but i have to." he was frowning down at the boy. "i'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
"but.." luke started, huffing instead of continuing. he reached up and cupped han's cheeks in his hands, kissing him softly yet long on the lips.
han was grinning like an idiot when he pulled away, taking luke's hand in his. "you can say goodbye to me downstairs," he pulled the boy out, who tried his best to stand his ground but failed ultimately.
luke didn't want anyone to know yet, but he also just wanted to scream to the whole world that he got to kiss han solo many, many times. no one else!
"bye, your highnessness." he heard han say and snapped out of his thoughts, realising they were already in the castle doorway. luke laughed softly at the nickname, which han smiled at.
they stood there for a few seconds before the other boy slowly stepped back, hand slipping from luke's. he was now frowning, watching han walk away.
when he turned around he saw leia watching from the kitchen. "will you tell father?" she asked as she ate some grapes. she had a smug look on her face, which luke sighed at.
"leia, what happened?" he spoke, pain laced in his voice. her features softened at the question, and she swallowed the grape she was eating.
she didn't say anything back, just lowered her head. luke began walking up the stairs when she replied. "i'm sorry, luke, truly." he stopped for a few seconds, then shook his head and continued walking.

han ignored his friends as they talked about the girls they liked, staring across the cafeteria to luke. it was the next day and they had hardly been around each other. the other boy glanced at han, giving him a small pout before going back to his lunch. he was sitting alone.
"got anyone in your sight, solo?" his friend, lando calrissian, asked. han shook his head, taking his eyes off luke. "aw come on, you always do!"
"not right now." lando and the other snickered at him. he went back to looking at luke.
lando furrowed his brow and followed han's eyes, letting out a small gasp when he saw where the boy was looking. "luke!"
"what?" han said as he glared at lando.
"nothing!" the boy chuckled, changing the subject and talking to their other friends. han softened his look, realising what lando meant.
he got up suddenly, "i'll be back, i'm still hungry." han walked off casually, speeding up a touch when he was halfway to luke. when he got there he sat down across from the boy. "hey, prince."
"han," the boy beamed, smiling at him. "i've missed you."
"i've missed you too," he smiled back, watching as luke leaned his head in his hands, elbows on the table. he found it adorable. "wanna explore the town some more after school? i know where to get the best food. i swear i've never stolen from them."
luke giggled, "yeah sure. you better not have stolen, i don't wanna be a part of your troubles." han just chuckled softly and got up.
"i better go back, i told them i was grabbing some more food. see you in the last class?" the boy nodded, pouting at him. "don't do that, i won't be able to resist." he put the lip back, han smiling and walking away.
he went to finally line up for food when he was suddenly pulled by his arm. the grip was tight and didn't loosen until they were around a corner with no one around.
han saw that it was lando, "jesus, what?"
"you like the prince, don't you." the boy crossed his arms. he spoke like it was a statement. han opened his mouth to speak, closing it and sighing.
"yeah." he ran his fingers through his hair. "look, you can't tell anyone yet, okay?"
lando chuckled and put a hand on the boy's shoulder, "of course, i'm not that bad a person. still like girls?" han scoffed jokingly, smiling.
"partly, yes, you idiot." the bell rang through the hall, "do not tell anyone," he spoke as lando nodded to him. he walked off, winding through the halls to get to his class.
