Meeting The Parents

3rd POV
It's been a few days since Ben asked Mal to prom.
Today is a Saturday.
And Ben invited Mal to meet his parents. Belle is excited, but as for Adam, eh not so much.
They were going to have a good breakfast that Belle and some of the servants are going to cook up.
When Mal woke up that morning, let's just say she was super nervous.
Mal's POV
"I can't do this" I said to Evie
She knew exactly what I was talking about.
"Mal. You will be fine"

"No. Evie, he hates me"

"Who hates you?" she asked

"Ben's dad"

"Non sense. I'm pretty sure he will like you"
Then someone knocked at my door.
I went over and opened it.
It was Ben.
"Hey" as he smiled
I sighed
"Hey" I said

"You ready?"

"To be honest Ben. I'm not"

"Okay. Why? Do you feel uncomfortable?" he asked

"I feel like your dad hates my guts"

"Babe, he is always like that to my girlfriends. Even when I first started dating Audrey, he never showed any type of emotions to her"
"I mean if you don't want to go, then that's fine" he added
I mean if I don't go, then all that food would go to waste.
So I thought about it real hard.
"Okay, I will go" I said
He smiled
"Great"
We both said goodbye to Evie and left.
Me and Ben walked to his castle.
10 minutes later...
We got to the big white doors.
"Don't be nervous" he said

"I will try not too"
Then the guards that were standing in front of the doors, they opened them.
Ben thanked them and we walked in.
Ben led us to the dining room.
It was huge. There was a long table, with so many chairs. A big chandelier with diamonds hanging above the table.
I was shocked. But it was beautiful.
"You like it?" Ben asked

"Yes! It's so gorgeous"
He chuckled
Then Belle came out.
"Goodmorning my beautiful people" she said walking into the room
I quickly fixed myself up and went back to Ben.
"Goodmorning mom"
They hugged
Then she looked at me.
"It's so nice to see you" Belle said opening her arms to hug
I smiled and gave her a hug back.
"You look beautiful" she told me after we hugged
I smiled again.
"Thank you. And you look beautiful yourself" I said
She smiled at me.
"Where's dad?" Ben asked

"Oh, he's coming. He's still getting ready"
Ben nodded his head.
"I have to go back in the kitchen. Just have a seat and get comfortable" Belle said

"Thank you mom"
She smiled then she left.
Me and Ben both sat down next to each other.
It was quite. Then my stomach growled.
Ben laughed
"You hungry?" he asked

"Yes. Yes I am"
He chuckled.
"You know about the other night, when I helped you study-" he said

"Yeah, what about it?"

"That was actually the best night of my life"
"But don't worry, every single time I am with you, it's always the best" he continued
I laughed
"I actually agree with you"

"Maybe next time, we should do it again"

"That's not a bad idea" I said

"What about tonight?"

"I can't. I have an essay due on Monday and I need to finish it"
He pouted.
"Aw, okay" he said

"Don't worry, I will make it up to you" as I smiled
Ben's POV
"Man, I love you so much" I said

"And I love you too"
She kissed my cheek.
After a while my mom and dad came in the room.
"Goodmorning son" my dad said
I quickly stood up from my seat and hugged him.
He hugged me back.
Mal stood up too, but she stayed right behind me.
"Goodmorning sir" she said
I turned around and looked at Mal.
My dad just stared at her.
"Honey, she said goodmorning" my mom said to my dad.
My dad cleared his throat.
"Goodmorning" he said
We stood there not talking.
Then the food came out and we sat down.
We started to eat for about an hour.
Things were going well, until:
"Son" my dad said
I quickly swallowed my food.
"Yes dad"

"So me and your mom have been talking about things lately"

"Okay"

"And we both decided that, we want to pass the crown to you" he continued
I widened my eyes. And stared at him.
Was I ready for this? Was I ready to be King and have no time for Mal?
I asked myself a lot of questions.
"Oh" I said
Mal sat there, hearing everything.
"I think it's time for me to retire" my dad said

"But dad-" I said but he cut me off

"No. No buts"
I turned to Mal.
"Do you want to go?" I asked

"Please"
I turned to my parents.
"I think it's time for us to leave" I said standing up

"Oh wait honey. Before you guys leave, take some leftovers" my mom said

"I will go with you" Mal said
So my mom and Mal went to the kitchen.
"Are you mad?" my dad asked

"Why would I be mad" as I kinda raised my voice

"You seem like it"

"No dad. I'm fine"

"Okay"
Then Mal came back with a styrofoam box with some food.
"Thank you guys again for this delicious breakfast" Mal said

"You are so welcome sweetie" my mom said
My dad didn't say anything.
I said thank you and goodbye.
Then we both walked back to Auradon prep.
I stayed with Mal in her dorm on her bed.
She was writing her essay.
I stayed with her for hours and hours.
She was so busy on her essay I decided to leave around 11am.
I went to my dorm and laid in bed.
I thought about what my dad said.
Now that means I wouldn't have any time for Mal.
I felt so stressed that I cried for hours and hours.
I didn't eat, sleep or do anything.
