VK Party

Mal's POV
I'm in my dorm room that I share with Evie. I laid on my bed drawing in my sketch book. I had my headphones on listening to music.
Suddenly Evie bust through the doors extremely excited.
I jumped as she ran in.
"Mal Mal Mal!!! GUESS WHAT!?!?"
I rolled my eyes and took off my headphones.
"Yes Evie"

"Did you hear?" she asked

"Hear what?" with a confused face

"So supposably Prince Ben made a welcoming party for us VK's"

"1. I didn't know and 2. I'm not going. Everyone would just hate us anyway" as I put my headphones back on
I saw Evie walk to my bed and sat down.
"Can you please come? I really want to go"
Then I took off my headphones and looked at her
"E, why do you even want to go anyway?" I asked

"No reason" as she smiled nervously

"If you don't tell me then I won't go"

"Fine. I like Chad and I want to get to know him more"

"And what does this have to do with me?"

"I want you to be there because, Mal to be honest I think Ben likes you"
My eyes widened.
"No. E, he doesn't. Plus I don't even like him. He is to royal for me anyways and he has a girlfriend"
I went back to drawing.
"Mal. As your best friend, when he shook your hand earlier today he stared right into your soul. And who cares if he has a girlfriend, it's not like he is going to marry her anyways" as she smiled
I laughed
"Okay E. What ever you say"

"So can you please come" with her fingers crossed
I rolled my eyes.
"I guess. But I'm not wearing a dress"
Evie got up excited and jumping.
"Great!" she said
"Let's get ready. It starts in about an hour" she added
We both got ready.
I was the first one that got done first. Evie took forever on her makeup.
Finally she got done.
"Hurry before I change my mind" I said

"Sorry. I'm done already"
We both walked out of our dorm and went to the gym.
When we got there a few people were there. Including Carlos and Jay.
We said hi to them.
After a while more people started to come. And more. And more.
Then it was Ben and Audrey. They walked in hand and hand. Everyone clapping and shouting. I stood there puking my brain's out.
When the party started Ben went to the stage.
Ben's POV
"Hello Auradon students!!!" I yelled into the microphone
Everyone cheered and clapped.
"Thank you Thank you"
Then the cheering and clapping stopped.
"So today is one of the best day. I've chosen some people that I wanted to live here Auradon. So I dedicate this party for Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos"
Everyone cheered.
"Now let's get this party started!"
More cheering and clapping went on. Then the music started to play.
I walked off stage and went to Audrey.
"So, how did I do up there?" I asked
She looked at her nails and looked up at me.
"You did okay. But I could have done better"
I smiled weakly at her.
"Oh okay. Thanks" I said

"I'm going to hang out with my friends. Bye Benny boo"
Then she walked away.
I stood there for a few minutes, realizing what just happened.
I felt alone standing there. So I shook myself off and went to go get some fruit punch.
As I walked to the table I was looking down at my feet.
When I got there, I grabbed a cup, then I reached to my right side to grab the spoon for the punch, until I felt a pair of soft hands on the spoon. I quickly looked up and saw her.
Mal.
"Oh I'm sorry" as I moved my hand away

"It's okay, I guess"
I got so nervous. My hands started to shake. My heart beating super fast out of my chest.
What should I say to her?
"Cool party huh?" I said
Really? That's what I came up with, I'm such an idiot.
She looked at me.
"I mean yeah. I really don't like parties"

"What! Why!" I yelled
She widened her eyes at me.
"I'm sorry. Is it hot in here or is it just me?"
I tried to fan myself with my hand but that didn't work out. But luckily I got a response of her.
"Actually it is kinda hot in here" she said
I immediately smiled at her. She kinda smiled back.
Then I without realising it I started to sweat like crazy.
"Ummm your sweating pretty bad" she said
I quickly snapped out of it. I felt a drip of sweat roll down my face. I wiped it away.
"Yeah I'm going outside" I said
She nodded.
I quickly ran out of the gym. I started to pace around.
"Just relax" I told myself
I took deeps breathes in and out.
"Why do I get so nervous around her?" I asked myself

"Who are you talking too?"
I turned around and there she was again.
"Uhhh, no one. It's no one" I nervously smiled

"Umm okay. Well after you came out here, your girlfriend was looking for you"

"Girlfriend?" I asked

"Audrey"

"Oh yeah right right" I said
I walked pass by her. Then I went back inside.
Mal's POV
That was weird and awkward. I thought to myself. I brushed it off and went back inside to find Evie.
"Hey were where you?" Evie asked

"I was getting punch"

"And it took that long?"

"Yup. The line was super long" as I looked down

"That's odd but okay"
We went back to partying.
I haven't seen Ben ever since we were outside.
About a few hours in. I decided that I wanted to go back outside and take a breather.
When I walked out, I immediately saw Ben and Audrey.
"What did you say?" Audrey asked Ben
I quickly hid behind a tree. Yes I eavesdrop everyone's conversation.
"I said, I'm breaking up with you" Ben said

"Why?"

"Audrey. All you do is think of your self and not me. You never care about me. You never showed up once to any of my games after you go kicked off the cheer team. You would rather get your hair and nails done. And when the days I'm sad or stressed you never ask me whats wrong. You would want to leave me for your friends. And trust me I had more to say, but I would rather not"
Audrey's face had a face of shook. I watched as she started to cry.
"Fine, if you want to end it, I'm done"
Then she walked away.
I heard Ben sigh in frustration.
He went back inside.
I decided to go back to my dorm.
When I got to my dorm I started to draw.
Hours had past by and Evie finally came home.
She find me passed out on my bed with my sketchbook and pencil on my bed.
"Mal" I heard some whispered
It was Evie.
"Hmmm"

"Mal. Go to bed"

"Okay"
I got up and put my stuff away. I didn't change into my pj's. It was a Friday night so I could sleep in.
I went under my blankets and fell asleep.
