Last Practice

Ben's POV
"Okay guys!" Couch yelled
"Bring it in!" he added
Our team ran up and made our way around him.
"This is our last practice, and next Friday is the big game. We are going to do great out there. So be ready" he continued
We all put our hands in the middle and chanted our slogan.
Then I went to the bleachers to grab my big sports bag.
I sat down and drank some water. The time was 4:30pm.
"Hey" I heard a soft voice say
I turned to my side, and Mal was standing there.
"Hey" as I smiled
She sat down next to me.
"How was your last practice?" she asked

"It was good"
She smiled at me
"That's good"

"I'm just hoping that we will win" I said

"Don't worry about it to much babe, you guys are going to do great"
I turned my head towards her, I smiled, then I pecked her lips.
"I love you okay?" she asked smiling
I smiled back
"Love you too"

"Come on, let's go to your place. It's Friday, so that means I'm staying with you all weekend" as she got up

"Okay" as I stood up too
I grabbed my sports bag and her hand.
We made our way to my room.
10 minutes later...
We made it to my room.
I jumped in the shower.
I felt a little sad.
Because it was my very last practice today.
When I got out of the shower, I cleaned up a bit.
Mal was laying on our bed.
When I was cleaning up, I tried to pull something out of the dresser, but the handle got stuck.
With all my anger and sadness, I pulled on it hard.
Then it suddenly opened, but I broke it.
"Damn it!" as I threw the handle
Mal quickly sat up.
"Are you okay?" she asked worried
I sat there on the floor, then tears came down my face.
"Hey, baby why are you crying?" as she kneeled next to me.
I sniffed.
"I'm sorry" I said

"Don't be sorry"
"Whats wrong?" she continued

"I just-"
Then I took a deep breath.
"I just love playing tourney. And it sucks that I won't be able to play it anymore" I said

"I know babe, it's hard. And of course it's going to suck that you can't play your favorite sport"
"We can always watch Carlos and Jay play" she continued

"Yeah, you're right"
I wiped my tears off of my face.
"Thank you" I said looked at her
She smiled and hugged me.
"Let's just have a relaxing day" as she stood up
I got up too.
We laid on our bed. Watched movies. Ordered some food for lunch.
6pm...
Mal's POV
It's dinner time. Me and Ben stayed at his place all day.
Then Ben decided that we should go eat at our favorite restaurant, The Waffle House.
We got ready and left.
Once we got there, we were immediately seated at our same spot that we always sit in.
We ordered and waited.
"Are you feeling okay?" I asked
He nodded
"A little"
I reached my arms out and grabbed his hands.
He smiled
"You are going to get trough this" as I smiled

"Thanks"
After a while our food came out.
As we were eating, more students started coming in.
Including, Audrey.
She's always following us around.
"Audrey's here" I said
He turned around and saw her.
"And?" as he turned back around

"I just want one peaceful day were I don't want to see her"

"After this, I will take you to get some frozen yogurt"

"Okay" as I smiled
After dinner...
Ben payed and we felt the restaurant.
"Oh my, it's cold out here" I said hugging myself
He giggled
"Here"
He took off his hoodie.
I grabbed it and pulled it over me.
He helped me put it on.
"Better?" he asked

"Yeah. Thanks"
I kissed his cheek.
"Are you still up for some frozen yogurt?"

"Of course!" I said smiling
He smiled back and off we went.
At frozen yogurt place...
