Jongho let out a long sigh as he once again tried to get comfortable. He had tossed and turned all night, and he had a feeling it wasn't going to stop anytime soon.
His mind, and his wolf, just wouldn't stop.
So he pushed himself off the ground slowly, not wanting to disturb the others, and went to sit out on the front porch of their new home.
The construction was coming along nicely, all they had left to do was finish installing a few internal things for appliances and make sure all that was working, then they could start getting furniture.
Mingi had a monthly allowance sent to him from their father that he was more than happy to use because there was no way he needed that much money.
It had sparked another fit of jealousy from Jongho, but he had used his training to try and calm down and think rationally about it. He was the one who had messed up and been kicked out of the pack. If that hadn't happened, there was a good chance his father would send him money too.
His training was coming along as well, according to his brother. He was able to calm down faster, and while he was still quick to anger, it didn't always involve his wolf anymore.
But there was still a lot that needed to be done with his wolf...
Now that they had their own space, he and his pack went at it like rabbits. Sometimes it was all four, sometimes less. Usually it was whenever his wolf needed to get off and whoever was the closest member of his pack got the brunt of it.
Mingi tried to tell him it was because his wolf was wanting to mate. There was something different about having that bond that settled a wolf. Especially since he should have mated by now.
At first, Jongho didn't want to believe it. He knew his wolf was horny and had been trying to accept that. But now that the thought was in his head, he realized he had been working very hard to make sure no one had access to his neck while they were together.
His wolf hated him for it.
Now that Jongho knew the reasoning, it scared him even more.
He didn't want to hurt anyone in his pack by showing favoritism and picking a Luna. He had come to care deeply for all three of them, and even though he knew they would forgive him eventually, the thought of having to endure their disappointment weighted heavily on his heart.
Especially Yunho. He knew the oldest beta would be heart broken if he wasn't chosen. And he would be a good Luna. Yunho was bright and cheerful and a great hunter. He had a knack for getting everyone to open up an laugh. His friendship with Hongjoong was a plus too because it was one more bridge between the two packs. The only problem with him was he let his jealousy get the better of him sometimes, especially when it came to Wooyoung.
Jongho sighed and sat on the railing of his deck, sitting against the post and propping one foot up so he could rest his arm on his knee.
He had gone through this internal battle for days now. He had good reasons for all of them to be Luna. So why couldn't he pick?
San was the first one his wolf had wanted to claim. He was caring and made sure the others were always taken care of before himself. His ability to help Jongho calm down was helpful too, although the others could do it just as well depending on the situation. The only thing that worried Jongho about San was that he hadn't voiced any express interest in birthing a pup of his own, while both
Yunho and Wooyoung had made passing comments about wanting to mother pups one day. And that was supposed to be the role of a Luna, right?Seonghwa seemed to take pride in giving his alpha a pup, and he was already very motherly to Yeosang's pup too.
And then there was Wooyoung. It would probably be the one who would be least offended if Jongho picked someone else. He was just happy to be with others who cared about him. And his bright laughter was enough to light up any room. He was right next to San when it came to caring for the others, and he was the first one to jump up and offer to help the other pack too.
