After San made his appearance, Yunho and Wooyoung did everything they could to keep each other in check. It was obvious that something was happening to them and they both knew they were quickly running out of time.

Wooyoung's pain was getting worse and worse. They both expressed their fear of him losing the baby. Even Hongjoong constantly checked in when he could, although most of it was filled curses and grumbles coming from him and the fact that the humans had added two more females to the other side of the barrier to see if that would get him to calm down at all.

Yunho couldn't help but chuckle the one time Hongjoong let slip that he couldn't wait to be back in Mingi's arms again, or to see Yeosang and even Seonghwa. 

They all had to hold onto the hope that they others were coming for them.

You doing okay? Yunho asked a couple of nights later as he settled in next to Wooyoung.

The omega looked up and him and sighed. I'm just ready to go home. I think... I think the pup is doing a little better now that we are checking in with each other. But I need to be able to shift soon... I can feel it.

Yunho let out a small whine and rubbed his nose against Wooyoung's stomach. The omega hummed in response and laid down on his side to stretch out a little bit. Yunho knew what he wanted right away and didn't hesitate to give it to him.

The two of them had spent a lot of time bonding during their time here together, and Yunho now felt like a fool for treating the younger so poorly. He laid down next to him and started to lick the brown fur around Wooyoung's stomach. Wooyoung started to hum almost immediately.

Yunho closed his eyes and placed one of his paws on top of the younger. He could feel the pup moving around a little within Wooyoung's stomach. This was a cute sign that the pup was developing, but it was becoming more and more noticeable.

If Mingi and Jongho didn't get them out soon, the humans were going to want to pull Wooyoung aside and examine him. Especially because they knew he wasn't eating the food they set out for him. Yunho was still sharing his portions with him.

As the sun set and the visiting humans started to leave, Wooyoung slipped into an uneasy sleep, twitching and whining occasionally. Yunho kept watch over him to make sure he didn't lose himself to his wolf.

A sound behind him drew his attention to the gate and he saw Jin stepping through with their dinner. The human watched them closely and set down the buckets of food. His eyes flashed to Wooyoung and his obviously round stomach from the position he was sleeping in.

Yunho jumped up to block his view and snarled, startling both Wooyoung and Jin.

"Easy boy. I wish you'd let me get close because I just want to make sure he's ok and healthy." Jin backed toward the gate with his hands raised.

The beta's snarls got lower and he advanced forward. There was no way he would let anyone get close to Wooyoung. Ever. They'd have to take him out first.

Which he realized was Jin's plan once he scented that both buckets of food had been drugged.

Jin fled from the enclosure when Yunho charged at him, then sent the food flying into the trench with a powerful swipe of his paw. The commotion riled up the wolves on the other side of the barrier and they started howling and pawing at the barricade, wanting to get to the extra food.

Yunho chased Jin all the way to the gate and stood up as tall as he could. He was large enough that he was able to tower over the cowering man. Getting the message, Jin hurried down the hall into the research facility and left them alone to curl up together and keep watch.
