Jongho felt numb after his visit from home.
The way everyone had reacted... it was the exact reason why he hadn't really wanted to go to the funeral in the first place.
His thoughts wandered as he saw Yunho and Hongjoong both swaying back and forth, working their hips out while holding their pregnant bellies.
Everyone was a little shaken after Mingi revealed that he was asked to take over the pack and had turned it down. He was in a foul mood too, constantly rambling on about disrespect and how they had no sense of honor.
Jongho may never find the guts to tell him, but he was so touched that his brother had stood up for him like that. Never before had Jongho felt like he could rely on someone as much as he relies on Mingi now.
He was truly thankful to be able to call him his brother.
The alpha sighed and leaned against the tree behind him.
So much had happened since he was banished, but he knew that right here is were he belonged.
"Are you okay?" Yunho asked, walking over to him him while Hongjoong waddled over to the main house.
"Yeah, I am." Jongho stood, but stayed crouched over so he could rub his beta's stomach with a soft smile. "How is our little man doing?"
Yunho beamed. "Great. He's just as active as ever and refuses to calm down for very long. My back is definitely not happy with me." He reached over to run his hand through Jongho's hair. "Are you sure you're okay?"
Jongho straightened up and chuckled. "Yes, I'm okay. Better now that we are home."
"Things were pretty tense back there."
"But it's over now." The alpha sighed and took Yunho's hand. "Where are the other two?"
"San said something about going to put Finn down for a nap, then he and Wooyoung were going to go for a run."
"Perfect." Jongho smirked and placed a hand on the back of Yunho's neck to pull him down for a kiss. He could feel the surprise coming off his beta an chuckled. "I want to try and take some time to spend with each of you as much as I want us to be able to be all together too."
"Well I won't say no to that." Yunho purred before pulling Jongho into the house.
A few miles away, Wooyoung and San were running through the trees as fast as they could. It had been a long time since Wooyoung had been able to get out and stretch his legs so this was a nice break for him.
Thanks for this Sannie, I really needed it! Wooyoung spun in a circle and yipped happily.
The sudden change caused the beta to stumble into him as he tried to stop. The two of them rolled together on the forest floor and down the side of a hill into a clearing. After a moment, they both shifted back into human form and slipped a pair of pants on before falling back into the soft grass, giggling at how silly the collision was.
"I guess I'm a little out of practice." Wooyoung said, wrapping an arm around his stomach to try and calm down. "I think that's the first time I've shifted since the zoo."
"I think you're right, so it's probably a good thing we did this." San propped himself up on one elbow so he could look down at the omega. "How are you doing with everything?"
"Fine." Wooyoung lifted a hand up to pat San's chest. "You know me, I can push my way through anything."
A soft smile crossed San's face and he nodded. "Yeah, I know you can." He paused for a long moment, then lifted a hand to trace the stretch marks around Wooyoung's stomach. "Would you want to go through it again? Pregnancy, that is?"
"Sure. I love Finn, but I feel like I seriously got jipped on the happy pregnancy thing." Wooyoung scoffed and shook his head. "Why?" The younger blinked a few times.
"Would... Would you want to do it... with me?"
The question shocked Wooyoung and his mouth opened slightly.
"I already talked to Jongho, and he's okay with it." San started, then started speaking faster as he went along. "And I love him, so much. You know that. He's my alpha, well our alpha, and there's nothing I would do to change that. But ever since we found you and you joined the pack, I've felt a connection with you too and I—"
Wooyoung placed a hand over San's mouth to get him to stop. "Sannie! Breathe." He started laughing and then turned so he could press his face to the beta's chest. "When Finn is older, I would love to. I don't think it would be fair to him to do that now since we are still working on bonding as a family."
He could feel the beta's chest rumbling with happiness at his acceptance. "Whenever you're ready. I can wait for you." San pulled him into a tight hug. "I can't wait for that day though." He added in a whisper.
They stayed in the clearing for a long time exchanging a few kisses and sweet touches before finally making their way home to find their alpha and other beta curled up on the couch together.
Jongho immediately sat up and opened his arms, which Wooyoung rushed into and they nuzzled each other's marks in greeting. San bent over to give Jongho a long, needy kiss before settling on the floor so he could be in front of the rest of his family and be connected to them all in one way or another.
It was times like these that the four of them treasured the most. They had found the perfect family, one that they all needed, and they wouldn't trade it for the world.
