sky's ear surgery

Today is Sky's ear surgery day!

Ever since Sky the bunny was born, her left ear has always looked a lot different then her right ear. It was smaller and deformed a little, which scared Aspen, Joey and Daniel.

Even the fans noticed Sky's ear and wrote many comments about it. Some supportive ones saying she looked beautiful with it, others saying nasty things or just things that weren't true.

Joey and Daniel were both scared that Sky's left ear had cancer or just not functional at all. Joey and Daniel both wanted Sky to be happy and healthy and were willing to do anything to help her.

The vet confirmed that Sky is deaf in her left ear but not her right ear, so she can still hear and be fine that way, which relieved both Joey and Daniel very much.

Joey and Daniel monitored Sky's ear closely and so did the vet. The vet said it was fine to let it be as long as Sky didn't have any issues like infections and pain.

A few weeks ago, Sky got a little infection in her ear which caused a lot of pain. Even after the infection was gone and clear, Sky still acted like it hurt her very much.

So Joey and Daniel have both decided that it was best to have the ear removed, so Sky wouldn't have anymore pain or problems with it!

The vet just called Daniel a few minutes ago to let him know that Sky's ear surgery went very well and that Sky is doing great!

Daniel walks over to Joey and smiles at him.

"Joey, the vet just called! Sky is doing well after her surgery and she can come home now." Daniel says to Joey as he holds a happy Ash in his arms and Joey smiles at him.

"That's good! I know Aspen was scared to death that something would go wrong during Sky's surgery." Joey says to Daniel.

"Yeah, I was really worried too. But Sky is doing very well! She is a little groggy though, which is normal. Oh, and the vet said that Sky needs to be separated from Thunder for a few days. You know Thunder loves to chew things and Sky will have a bandage around her face." Daniel says to Joey.

"Yeah, Thunder is a chewer that's for sure!" Joey says as he giggles and smiles at Daniel.

A few seconds later, Aspen walks downstairs and she is rubbing at her red eyes and Daniel smiles a bit at her.

"Hey, princess!" Daniel says happily to Aspen and Aspen doesn't say anything.

"Hey Aspen! What's wrong, sweety?" Joey asks Aspen as Aspen looks down at her feet.

"I am just scared. I don't want too lose Sky. I love her so much." Aspen says softly to Joey and Daniel.

"Well, the vet just called and said that Sky is doing great after her surgery! She is a groggy but other then that, she is doing well! Sky can actually come home! So do you wanna come with Daddy, Ash and I to pick her up?" Daniel asks Aspen as Aspen smiles at Daniel an Joey.

"Yes, I wanna come!" Aspen says to Daniel and Joey.

"Sweety, are you hungry? You didn't eat since dinner last night. You didn't eat breakfast and didn't want any lunch." Joey says to Aspen.

"Yeah, I am hungry. I was just really scared about Sky and it made my stomach hurt." Aspen says softly to Joey and Daniel.

"Well, you don't need to worry about Sky now. Her ear surgery went well and she is going to make a full recovery! Daddy and I just need to keep an eye on her and give her the pain medicine." Daniel says to Aspen as Aspen smiles again
