"Long time no see. How long has it been?", bati ni Abi nang makita siya nito. Naramdaman ni Diana ang tensyon sa room pagpasok nila ni Gino. Looks like everyone's anticipating sa muli nilang pagkikitang dalawa.
"Great to see you again, Abi!", nakangiting bati niya kasabay ng pagbeso dito. There was some sort of level of awkwardness in her voice.
Abi laughed in amusement. "Hey, relax! I'm not gonna bite you!" Her reaction somehow made Diana feel relieved and the people around them.
Diana's so careful with her actions as she's very much aware of Franki's presence. Ayaw niyang bigyan ng reason para magselos ito or anything. Actually, only if she could hold her hand now, she'll do it just to give her an assurance she got nothing to be worried about. She's giving her a quick look from time to time to make her feel na hindi niya ito nakakalimutan.
She and Abi chatted for a little bit. They didn't talk about what happened in the past. Mas nagkuwento ito kung ano ang mga pinagkakaabalahan niya sa New York. Looks like she really has grown so much as a person. Ang laki ng changes from what she was but Diana thinks it's for the better.
Ilang sandali pa at dumating na din sina Sky at Banjo. Everyone already gathered sa pool area to eat dinner. Franki was supposed to sit beside Jamie but she secretly grabbed her para sa tabi niya ito maupo. Abi chose to sit on her other side. She glanced upon Franki at nakita niya ang pag-change ng facial expression nito. Ugh! Why she has to be in this very uncomfortable situation? Anyhow, she has no choice but to handle this very carefully.
Alam niyang hindi familiar si Franki sa ibang food na nasa table kaya everytime may kukunin ito, she'll ask kung ano yun and she'd happily explain it to her. Sometimes, siya na din ang pumipili ng food that she'd like her to try especially yung mga personal favorites niya na madalas niluluto ni Kiara kapag mga ganitong occassions. Franki seems to be enjoying the attention she's giving her despite Abi on her side. Kulang nalang subuan niya ito which to be honest gustong gusto niyang gawin kung puwede lang. Although paminsan minsan ay sumasabat at nakilisali si Abi sa usapan nila but it's done in a very polite and friendly way. Di niya alam na magkakilala pala personally ang dalawa so may mga napapagkuwentuhan din ang mga ito na hindi siya masiyadong familiar.
"Guys, actually, we have a very important announcement to make. That's the reason why we really pushed na makarating kayo lahat.", Gino suddenly stood while everyone's busy eating. Everyone's murmuring at may kanya kanyang hula kung tungkol saan ang annoucement. Other's guessing na baka bagong business venture knowing how of a business minded person Gino is. She doesn't wanna jinx it but Diana kind of feel like it's about her in Kiara getting engaged.
"You guys know that all of you have a very special place in our hearts. We wouldn't trade the kind of friendship we have built for anything else. As I always say, we're practically family already. And because of that, we want you to be part of every mile stone in our lives.", pagpapatuloy ni Gino sabay tingin kay Kiara na tumayo na din.
"We're getting married!", the two announced in unison kasabay ng pagpapakita ng engagement ring ni Kiara. Nagpalakpakan lahat and everyone's genuinely happy for the couple. Diana always believed that the two are meant for each other. College palang sila nanliligaw na si Gino kay Kiara but initially got rejected by the latter dahil sa promise nito sa parents niya na magtatapos muna. Gino patiently waited and here they're now.
"Oh my, God! Finally, you two!", sabi ni Abi na tumayo sa kinauupuan para yakapin ang dalawa. Isa-isa ng nagsunuran lahat sa pagbati sa couple then she looked at Franki and she saw her crying.
"Are you okay?", malambing niyang tanong dito. She reached for her hand under the table and squezzed it.
"I'm just so happy for them.", naiiyak na sagot nito. At the back of her mind, medyo napaisip si Diana. What if pangarap din nitong maikasal and have a family of her own? The thought of it hurts but she immediately dismissed the idea. It's too early to think about it. Besides, this night is about Kiara and Gino and not about her or Franki.
Tumayo si Franki para i-hug ang dalawa na sinundan naman niya para personal na batiin din ang couple.
"And when did you propose?", curious na tanong ni Franki kay Gino.
"Remember that day when I asked you to check if she already left home? That was it."
"Nagpareserve pala siya sa Sofitel non. It was a very imtimate dinner na hindi ako ready at di man lang ako nakapag-paayos ng kuko.", tumatawang pagpapatuloy ni Kiara sa kuwento.
"Aw! You guys! Happy for you", emotional na niyakap ni Franki ang pinsan.
"Walang pagsabi. May pasabog pala tonight!", pagbibiro naman ni Diana sa dalawa.
"Nako! Kung alam mo lang Di! Gustong gusto ko na magkuwento but Gino's stopping me. Hintayin nalang daw dito." She saw the sparkle in Kiara's eyes habang excited na nagsasalita.
"We're very happy for you both. I am very happy for you. Alam nyo naman that I've always believed in what you two have simula pa sa simula.", sabi niya sa mga ito.
"Aw! Yep, we know. Di namin makakalimutan yun.", naiiyak na sabi ni Kiara sabay yakap sa kanya.
The night is still long. Nagbihis na ng pang swimming ang iba habang sila ni Franki, nakaupo pa din sa dinner table na tila naghihintayan kung sino una mag-aaya kung ano gagawin.
"Do you want to take a swim, Dayanuh?", maya maya ay tanong nito.
"I didn't bring any swimsuit with me.", sagot niya dito in a sad face. Wala siyang plan magswimming sana.
"I have extra! You can use it!", pagvolunteer nito.
They both walked into their room that is few steps away from the pool. As soon as they got in, Franki pulled her closer and kissed her lightly on the lips. Franki was smiling in between kisses as if she was seducing her.
"Franki!!!", Diana's trying her best not to give in. Franki's definitely teasing her.
"Why?", natatawang bulong nito in between kisses.
"You're killing me! They're waiting for us outside.", No matter how badly she wants her, ayaw niyang i-take advantage ito. They've already lost their control earlier.
Franki laughed and showered kisses all over her face instead. She kissed her one more time on the lips before she walked towards her bag to get the swimsuit they'll be wearing.
Diana was left stunned.
