9 - Holding On And Letting Go

It was a random Thursday afternoon peyton and I were watching tv when my phone started to ring. It was a random number :

Me: Hello?

Unknown: I know you have my girlfriend and I hope you know that I will find you, and when I do I'm going to hurt both of you.

I look at Peyton and them turn away.

Me: I don't know what your talking about, I don't know who your girlfriend is you have the wrong number.

Unknown: don't act dumb Peyton is my girl and you will regret taking her.

*End of call*

I stare at my phone and debate on what to say to her as she keeps starring at me.

"It was him, he knows" I say

She begins to start shacking and breathing really fast, I walk towards her asking if I can touch her before I embrace her in my arms. I rub her back "it's going to be okay, I won't let him come near you ever again" I say

She looks at me "he's going to find us Bryson I don't know how he does it but he will and I can't let you get hurt because of me" she begging to walk to our room and I follow her.

She begins to put a sweater on and her shoes and she looks ready to go. I look at her confused as to what she was doing.

"Hey what are you doing?" I ask

"I'm leaving, I have to go back to him before he comes here" she says.

I step in front of her " you aren't going to go back to him, I don't care if he hurts me he will never lay another hand on you as long as I'm alive Peyton"
"We don't have to stay here we can go away" I say

She looks at me "Where would we go?"

"Back to my old hometown" I say

She looks shocked that I just even said those words.

"You would go back?"She asks

"It was bound to happen, and anything to keep you safe" I say.

"When would we go?"

"We can go tonight?" I say

"Okay" she says and we begin to pack.
