Tasha hated the fact she had been hurt on a standard run.

Hated that her brother and the man she loved used that as an excuse to keep her home, keep her out of the action despite knowing that she could handle herself.

It was an accident, a simple thing that went so wrong, she had gone and gotten herself shot.

Recovery was boring, at least it was until Happy came to spend his evenings with her. She knew there was a club party going on but he would rather be with her, making sure she was comfortable, making sure she had snacks and pain relief. She was desperate for a swig of bourbon but was damn sure he wouldn't let her while she was hurt.

It was a whole week since the incident that had her laid up and Tasha was getting worried that Happy hadn't been by to see her yet. Deep down she knew it was club business keeping him but that didn't stop her overactive imagination kicking in, she had convinced herself she wasn't worth it and he had gotten bored babysitting her.

Before those thoughts could take over she heard her door open and the man himself slipped through. Tasha wasn't stupid, she knew something was up, he was always a quiet man but was usually more relaxed around her.

Not tonight though and that made her panic.

Seeing she was getting upset Happy sighed before moving over to her bed and carefully laying beside her, fully aware that she was still hurt even if she was putting a brave face on it all.

"Tasha, I got to go on a run. We getting retribution for you little girl."

She couldn't help the tears that gathered in her eyes, she knew this is what needed to happen, what was expected even but she was beyond pissed that she couldn't have a part of it herself.

"How long?" she asked with a tiny emotion filled voice.

Happy grimaced knowing she wouldn't like the answer, but gave it to her anyway. "About a week."

Despite the pain she was still feeling she was determined to get up and see the boys off, they were doing this for her after all.

She was grateful the tears held off until the last bike had left the lot so they couldn't see how weak she was feeling, but now they were gone the loneliness started to creep in.

Tasha holed up in her room, recuperating like she knew he wanted her to but as the days continued, the more she felt alone. Sure her mother and the croweaters were around but they weren't him.

She felt like she was going crazy, she was losing sleep, she realised she was in too far, too deep with Happy. He was her first love and she was determined he would be her last.

Right there and then she decided wherever he went once she was healed she would be by his side, whatever he wanted she would give it to him. When the darkness they both carried inside got to be too much she would be the one he needed to bring him back from the edge. Her head and her heart belonged to him and she knew she needed to tell him before it was too late, before she lost him.

It was nearing the end of the week and all she was doing was watching the shadows move across the wall, the fear she was beginning to feel taking over, all she wanted was to run into his waiting arms.

She felt as though she was falling apart without him.

On the seventh day of the boys being gone it was strange for Tasha, in all the years she had lived in Charming she had barely seen rain, not like the storm that was raging. She was worried for Happy riding in it, paranoid he would be hit by lightening.

Her head was so noisy with her fear for him that she failed to hear the sound of bikes rolling in. once she realised that it was bikes and not thunder she moved as quick as she could, standing in the rain waiting for him to come to her.

Happy parked his bike and looked up spotting Tasha immediately waiting in the rain for him and he couldn't help the smile that came across his face. She looked better than she had when he left and he felt a million times better that he had been the one to get the retribution for her, his first love, his last love.

He made his way to her in only a few strides and picked her up swinging her round, mindful that she was still tender. But she was here, he was here, they were safe, SHE was safe.

Tasha had tears running down her face, for once not ashamed to show her feelings. Happy finally put her down and placed both hands on her face pulling her to him so he could place a soft kiss on her lips and whispered to her "I will always be your flame"
