Katie made her way back to the dorm that Jax had shown her to earlier and closed the door once her dad had made his way in. "What do you need to talk to me about sweetheart?" he asked, concern shining in his eyes. Katie took a deep breath "Remember all those times you caught me talking to something that you couldn't see?" she asked, not wanting to meet his eyes. "Yeah, just figured you had a special friend." he responded chuckling. Katie relaxed a little knowing that he already thought that and not that she was crazy. "Well I kind of do, but they are people who have died." she told him, finally looking up and meeting his gaze. "Are you telling me you can see ghosts Katie?" Quinn asked, wary of her answer. Katie began to cry "I've always seen them daddy, they come to me for help." she said openly sobbing now.
Quinn pulled her into his arms and hugged her the way only a father can. "Sweetheart listen to me, I believe you. I know something has happened here to make you finally tell me.. what is it?" he asked. Katie's sobs turned to hiccups as she said "You don't hate me? Or think that I'm crazy?" Quinn chuckled "You're my daughter, you were always going to be a bit odd." Katie felt a sense of relief hearing her dad tell her that so she decided to take a leap and tell him the rest. "John Teller is here dad, he wants me to tell Jax and the rest of the club something, but he told me to tell you first." she said with more confidence than she was really feeling. "OK sweetheart. How do you want to do this?" he asked.
It was at that moment that JT reappeared to her. "Well done Katie, I knew you could do it." he said smiling. Katie said "thanks" and Quinn immediately stiffened "Is JT here now?" he asked. Katie simply nodded and Quinn spoke again. "Miss you brother." JT nodded at Katie and she relayed the unspoken response. "He misses you too dad."
Quinn made a decision there and then "You need to do this now baby girl, if he's here he has something to say about what is going on." he said giving Katie the look he always used to when things were bad. She sighed but knew he was right. "Let's do this." she said grabbing hold of her dads hand for security.
Quinn marched over to Jax with Katie in tow. "Jax we need to talk brother, you and the club." he said giving Jax the same look. Jax lost his smirk when he realised Quinn was serious and he nodded at the bigger man. He turned and called out across the room "Guys Church, Now!"
Katie watched as they made their way over to the meeting room and she hesitated by the door. Quinn noticed and whispered something to Jax. He then turned back to her and gestured for her to come in. With a small smile she did just that, and entered the domain of the men.
"What the fuck is this?" an older man she knew to be Clay shouted as Quinn shut the door behind her. "Apparently Katie has something she needs to tell us." Jax said explaining her presence. Clay grumbled something about nothing being sacred any more and Jax just chuckled. "The floor is yours darlin'" he told her.
Katie took a deep breath and began. "I have always been a little odd, it's just no one knew why until today. I told my dad and now I have to tell all of you." she paused before dropping the truth on them. "I can see ghosts and there is one here who wants to talk to you all." she said. As Katie expected several voices started at once. "Is she fucking serious?" "Fucking ghosts?" "she must have a screw loose." she found her reprieve in an unlikely person. "Will you all shut the fuck up and listen to the girl?" Opie yelled.
It was suddenly silent and she offered the man a thankful smile. He just tipped his head and gestured for her to continue. She felt the usual chill that alerted her to a presence and turned to face JT. He also gave her a nod, pointing at Jax to let her know to direct the conversation his way.
She stared at Jax whilst listening to what JT wanted her to say, she flushed a bright red but knew it had to come out. "Jackson, I never wanted this for you." she started only to be interrupted by Jax. "Are you talking to my dad?" he asked, tears shining in his eyes. Katie nodded and continued with what she had a compulsion to finish. "The club is going down a dangerous path, one that I never wanted. You need to get out of it all before you are in too deep." JT gestured for Katie to stop and let what had already been said sink in. as expected Clay had something to say. "I don't know what the fuck you think you are doing but you need to get your nose out of MY club before something happens!" he screamed, making his way towards her only for Tig and Opie and block him.
"Sit the fuck down and let her finish old man." Jax growled. Clay was angry, Katie knew but she was floored by the support she was getting from these people who didn't even know her. After a tense few moments Clay sat back down and Katie was asked to say the rest. She nodded "I never wanted us to run guns and I sure as hell didn't want to get in bed with a cartel... drugs? Seriously?" JT was shaking his head next to Katie. "End it, get out, I can't move on until you do." Katie said finishing what JT had told her.
Jax smiled "Thanks darlin', you good to wait out there? We got some things to discuss." he said with steel to his tone. Katie knew it was not aimed at her but she was still shocked at the change in him. Swallowing deeply she did as he asked.
Katie went and introduced herself to Tara and spent time with Abel as Jax had suggested earlier while she waited for them to leave church. Fortunately she wasn't waiting long and was soon face to face with her dad and Jax. He asked if he could speak to her privately, Tara gave her a smile and Katie followed Jax up to the roof.
He told her it was his place to go when he needed to think, but that they would have privacy there. Katie still said not a word and Jax realised he would have to start. "Thank you, without you being here we would never have known the truth. Clay was leading us down a dangerous path and with the help you gave he won't be able to. The vote on drugs never passed and we are working on getting out of guns. You have helped me to make my dad's club, my legacy be something to be proud of." he finished pulling the young girl into a hug.
Jax sucked in a breath and Katie knew that JT had shown himself to him. Katie stood by as JT had a few words for his son.
"I never wanted this for you, but I am glad I was able to see the man you have become. One that is strong enough to do the right thing. I love you Jackson."
Katie watched as a familiar bright light surrounded JT as he was finally able to move on, satisfied that his club would go the way he wanted. His club would earn legit.
