For EchoRoman

Echo watched holding her breath as the boys got ready to leave on a run. She hated knowing that every time they left there was a chance one of them wouldn't come back.

Letting out her breath she walked over to her brother pulling him into a bone crushing hug as she whispered to him "Come back in one piece Juice, I can't cope with this." letting a few tears fall and feeling foolish at how weak she was showing herself to be.

"Echo, it's only a few days, I'll be fine, WE'LL be fine" Juice told her trying his best to ease the anxiety he knew she was feeling, she was his little sister and they were more alike than she knew.

Releasing him from her hold she moved along the line of men hugging all of them, all but one.

The man mountain that was Opie Winston made Echo nervous, despite Juice promising her he was just a giant teddy bear she just couldn't get past the image of him being a damn grizzly in bed. Gulping she avoided talking to him and didn't notice his face fall.

Juice wasn't known to be the most observant but that he did notice. He wasn't exactly happy that Opie was showing some sort of interest in his baby sister but deep down he knew she was destined to be with him whether she believed it or not.

He was going to use this run to scope out just what Opie felt for her and smiled.

He kept an eye on Echo's face as one by one the bikes started and they left the lot, taking notice that she followed Opie's every move before her attention snapped to him and he could see the blush rising up her skin.

With one last smile and a nod to his sister Juice left the lot following his brothers.

Echo sighed when the last bike left the lot and feeling dejected and worried she slowly trudged back to her dorm having promised Juice she would stay close while they were away. He knew she could take care of herself but it made him feel better knowing that she wasn't alone.

Echo had fallen into a restless sleep when there was a knock on her door "Brought you some coffee sweetheart" she heard Piney's voice. Now fully awake she called a quick "Thank you" and opened the door to the man she thought of as a father figure.

Being with her brother and SAMCRO she felt at home, her and Juice's dad was a low life asshole who left when she was only a baby and being surrounded by these hard as nails but soft as shit older men made her feel more than safe.

Piney chuckled realising she had gotten lost in her thoughts and hearing that sound brought her back to the present where she blushed and immediately apologised. Piney waved her apology aside and gestured for her to join him at the bar. Figuring she had nothing better to do she obliged the old man.

She had taken a sip of coffee when Piney made a scarily accurate observation. "When the boys leave you always say goodbye to all but my son. Why?"

Blushing furiously Echo debated how much she should or could tell him. Piney gave her a look of concern and the dam that held her true feelings burst and she told him everything.

"Opie makes me nervous, I know its unreasonable to feel that way but he's huge and there is me barely 5'4" and curvy. He dwarfs me and I don't know how to handle it so I avoid him."

Piney chuckled at her attempt at an excuse and countered her argument. "I ain't much shorter than my son yet you have no problem talking to me."

Echo was stumped, she had no answer for that. She honestly hadn't considered that before.

Piney left her be after that, he had given her plenty to think about.

On the run

The run had gone smoothly, not a single issue and Juice was glad they were heading back after only 2 days.
