The War Never Ends

Rey's P.O.V.

When I got done with my shower, I got ready to go out and see what we could go help do with Po. Ben and I left our room hand in hand.

We made our way to the make shift base Po set up in the palace. The people on this planet have been very welcoming and it's always nice to see Chewie again.

The resistance took a big hit in the ambush yesterday. A lot of people didn't make it out in time. Our numbers are small but with the help of the Wookiees we should be okay if they attack again.

Rose and Finn got R2 and 3P0 working and she's trying to access their memories because they won't talk. They are powered on but silent. We think someone infiltrated the base during the attack and did something to them.

We find Po and ask him if there's anything we can lend a hand on.

"Well the falcon is pretty beat up if you guys want to work on that. Everyone is spread pretty thin and if we need to make a quick escape like yesterday it needs to be fixed."

"Alright we'll get started on that." I say to Po.

We find the falcon and get to work. It sort of looks like when Po landed it a few days ago at the old base when it was on fire. Just not on fire.

The compressor is still down, there's damage we took from the tie fighters, and both cannons aren't fully functional.

Ben and I enter the ship to get in the controls of the cannons to get those up and running, and as we're walking to them Ben pulls me aside.

"What's wrong, Ben?"

"You don't feel it?"

"Feel what?"

"Something isn't right. How do you not feel it? The disturbance in the force, Rey you have to feel it."

He looks almost frantic, "Ben what are you feeling? Can you see anything? Anyone?"

"No I can't, I don't know what it is but I don't think we're safe." He paces back and forth with his hands on top of his head.

"Okay last time this happened we did get attacked so you have to reach out, figure out something because I'm not getting anything. Try harder."

He sat down in the pilots seat, breathing heavily. He closed his eyes and I could feel him reaching out. All the sudden, I heard screaming in my head. I could feel death and pain throughout the galaxy something was coming and something big. There was someone out there worse than my grandfather. Something worse than anything us Resistance fighters can't face and come out victorious.

Ben opened his eyes and tears rolled down his cheeks. He stared out the cockpit window.

"Ben what was that? Where was that? That- how do we prepare for that."

He looked at me with fear in my eyes, "I have no idea Rey. I don't know if we can stop it. I think we're okay here for now at least but we can try."
