Chapter 17

3rd POV

When (y/n) awoke she was lying on the floor while the battle between Hendrickson and Dreyfus intensified.
"Where am I? What happened?"
"(Y/n)! Thank goodness you're alright. I was so worried about you." Elizabeth cried.
"What's going on?"
"Hendrickson has taken us but Dreyfus is trying to protect us."
"I see." When Hendrickson and Dreyfus's attacks clashed the building was blown to pieces and part of it was headed straight for Elizabeth but before it hit her, (y/n) pushed her to the ground and got hit instead.
"(Y/n)...." Elizabeth said with wide eyes as (y/n) smiled at her and fell back.
"(Y/n)!" Dreyfus yelled. He pulled out a handkerchief and used it to absorb her blood.
"Oh my, what a pity. I'd better take her away before that blood dried up."
"So that's why you wanted me." (Y/n) coughed. "You wanted my blood. But why Elizabeth?"
"The plan was Elizabeth you were just reassurance. Either person would have worked but I didn't think it would be this easy to get the great Demon Princess' blood. How fortunate I am."
"It's over... Hendrickson!!!" Dreyfus yelled trying to cut him but instead his sword was broken to pieces.
"True, it is over. Now that your magical powers are depleted, you have no chance. Too bad, you were this close, Dreyfus." Dreyfus punched Hendrickson's cheek but it did nothing. He didn't move, in fact he didn't even flinch. "Admit defeat. You are the one person I don't want to kill. You are a fine mentor to me. A friend and a rival. It's regrettable." Hendrickson touched Dreyfus's armor, melting it away and poisoning him with acid. "Now melt away. At least die a painless, tranquil death." When Dreyfus faded away Hawk appeared with Meliodas on his back. "Is that you Meliodas? Just as I thought come on my powers doesn't work on demons with their sinister powers." Meliodas climbed off Hawk's back casting his eyes on Dreyfus's armor and then on (y/n)'s injured body where Elizabeth cried.
"(Y/n)!!!!!"
"I was born a safe of the forest. A Druid, who worships nature and the Goddesses, and despises the Demons. Ever since I first saw you, I sensed it, vaguely... that sinister, powerful magical power writhing deep inside you... and I both feared and admired you. But now, I've acquired the same powers as you!" Dreyfus explained as they both walked up to each other. Instead of fighting Meliodas, appeared behind Hendrickson carrying (y/n)'s injured form in her arms. Hendrickson turned around but Meliodas was now in front of him.
"Meliodas..." (y/n) said weakly.
"(Y/n).... I'll end this fast. When it's all over, let's go back to the tavern. Okay?" Meliodas whispered and the put her on Hawk's back. "Hawk, can you take her with you?"
"Oh yeah! I'll carry her away safely!"
"Elizabeth, you should go with them."
"Alright, please be careful Sir Meliodas." Elizabeth said whipping away a tear and running away with Hawk.
"As if I'd let you get away." Hendrickson put his hand up to cast a spell but Meliodas cut I off and then kicked his back before could.
"Don't you dare die on me (y/n)! If you do I will never forgive you!" Hawk yelled.
"Hawk watch out!!" Elizabeth warned. He turned around to find a dark ball of magic following him and right before it hit him it was slammed away by Diane's hammer.
"Oh, boy you sure saved us."
"(Y/n)... I'll never forgive you!!!!"
"But she was on the brink of death. What's she doing here?" Hendrickson asked before he was slammed into the ground by Chastiefol in its bear configuration and the Research lab was split in half.
"What's up Captain, you alive?" Ban asked holding Meliodas by his ankle so he didn't fall down. The five Sins jumped down to where Hendrickson had landed from King's attack.
"The Seven Deadly Sins. Well, well! To have the legendary Seven Deadly Sins gathered here... I am humbled and overjoyed beyond words. Not only that..." When Hendrickson looked around, he saw all the Holy Knight of Liones supporting them.
"These are the Holy Knights of LionesS This time, they're here to prevent not the Seven Deadly Sins, but you're from escaping." Meliodas said.
"We've wiped out all the Demons from the capital, too." King added and that only caused Hendrickson to laugh maniacally.
"Well if you didn't what fun would this be? I don't know how you managed to rid the city of the scum and such a short time. But that's excellent, Seven Deadly Sins! But...You can't defeat me." Hendrickson summoned his arm to reattach to his body but Meliodas cut it right back off in an instant.
"Oh yeah?"
Hendrickson swung his sword but Meliodas dodged, spinning multiple times to cut Hendrickson in the chest three times but he just heard himself. Hendrickson tried to attack but Meliodas jumped away and King attacked with his small daggers which sank into his body.
"Will you let yourself be killed at least four times? Otherwise, he's gonna be angry with me." King said with a calm face. Hendrickson was able to force the daggers out but was then punched by two Earth fists created by a very angry Diane.
"A little girl who's huge and nothing else... do you really think a move like that will work on-." He was able to pushed against the fists but that quickly changed when the pressure intensified.
"Since you're a noob, I'll give you a word of advice. Sure, demonic power can heal a wound, but unless you're immortal, the damage remains!" Meliodas explained and the jumped into the air to attack. "How many times have you regenerated yourself?! Combined Attack, Metal Crush!!!"
"Jeez, they're totally fired up, huh?" Ban said.
"Whereas you're totally low-key, Ban." Gowther responded.
"Not nearly as much as you. I guess I'm kind a late to the party, but how did Hendrickson get all that power?"
"According to Guila, he's been studying Demon corpses for years."
"You've got to be kidding me. Do you know why the Captain is this fired up though. What happened?"
"I believe (y/n) suffered a fatal injury because of Hendrickson. For some reason this has made the captain very mad."
"What?" Ban asked with an evil look in his eye. Before he knew it Hendrickson slammed him into the mountainside so hard his head went right through.
"Looking away during a battle will be your undoing Ban." Hendrickson tried attacking Gowther but he dodged every move until Ban suddenly appeared completely healed.
"Yo, Hendy, do you want to tell me what exactly you did to (y/n)?" Ban asked with a smile but inside he was seething with rage."
"What?"
"You heard me." Ban suddenly started to attack Hendrickson so fast all he could was take all the hits. "You heard me! I'm asking you what you did so spit it out already!!!" The last and final hit crashed Hendrickson into the mountainside causing a large hole to appear which showed everyone what was hidden inside, a Red Demon
"This is the source of it."
