Chapter 19

3rd POV

Hendrickson was about to attack Meliodas but Ban stopped him using his powers to control his arm. Meliodas uppercutted him into the air and Diane slammed him into the mountainside. Hendrickson grew wings and flew forwards but was slammed into the ground by Chastiefol and the blown away in tornado by (y/n).
"So this is the power of the legendary knights!" The Holy Knights said amazed.
"Sir Meliodas...."
"It's okay. Thanks to you, my depleted stamina has been restored. Just leave the rest to us. I want you to stay with Hawk."
"No way! He's hardy sustained any damage!" Diane exclaimed.
"Damn! I thought I ripped that arm off. That durable armor of his is one pain in the ass." Ban said.
"Well we're not finished yet." Meliodas said.
"Not even a little." (Y/n) added.
"Gowther! We're gonna do that attack! Let everybody know!" Meliodas commanded.
"Captain! Gowther's not..." King cried until suddenly Gowther awoke holding his head.
"Glasses, glasses."
"He's still alive!!" King yelled.
"There." Gowther put on his glasses and the stroke a pose. "Roger that, Captain."
"What the hell are you?" King asked.
"Tap. Broadcast." A beam of a light went thought everybody's head broadcasting Meliodas's final plan to bring this battle to its conclusion.
"What's this?" Gilthunder asked.
"Gowther's instructions just came pouring onto my mind instantaneously." King said amazed.
"Is this seriously our strategy?" Ban asked.
"Captain, are you sure about this?" Diane asked.
"I don't think I can do it." (Y/n) said doubtfully.
"All right everyone, time to get started!" Meliodas declared disabling his powers.
"You disabled your magical powers? What do you think you're doing?" Hendrickson asked. Meliodas jumped forwards and began to attack Hendrickson by slamming him onto the ground.
"Hey, King what do you thing we should do?" Diane asked.
"I know. He needs our help out there."
"Lightening King Iron Hammer!!!" Gilthunder yelled hitting both Hendrickson and Meliodas.
"That move but his allies at risk." Hendrickson said flying into the air. "He must not have had time to narrow his aim solely at me."
"Gravity times 10! How dare you spit on my sense of justice!!!"
"Rising Tornado!!!" Once again these attacks hit both Meliodas and Hendrickson but Hendrickson was able to make it dissipate over time. Other Holy Knights attacked Hendrickson and Meliodas until all that was left were the sins and (y/n).
"Do you really plan to sacrifice yourself just to slow me down? I find that commendable, but it looks like you're the only one sustaining any damage." Meliodas continued to be riddled by attacks from the Holy Knights as well as Hendrickson.
"Dark Nebula." The darkness surrounding Hendrickson continued to grow but Meliodas pushed against it.
"If I were you, I wouldn't... underestimate me!" Meliodas pushed right through the darkness and punched Hendrickson in the gut which was followed by a choke hold.
"Captain... I'm so sorry!" Diane cried. "Rush Rock!!"
"Spirit Spear Chastiefol fourth configuration! Sunflower!!!" A large sunflower appeared shining a light which attacked Meliodas and Hendrickson.
"You're a mystery to me, Meliodas of the Seven Deadly Sins. Despite being framed and forced into exile, you're still sacrificing yourself for the kingdom?" Hendrickson began. "Even though I'm going to destroy everything."
"Yeah, don't be so sure." Ban said.
"Utter futility. Your attacks may end up killing Meliodas, but you won't be able to kill me."
"Yeah well it's worth a shot. Vanishing Kill!" A stream of purple light hit Meliodas and cut his chest.
"You're up Goddess." Ban called.
"I can't do it." (Y/n) said regretfully holding her hand to her chest. "I can't risk hurting."
"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." Meliodas flashed a reassuring smile.
"Okay fine." (Y/n) made her wings appear and flew into the air above them. "Meliodas!!!" She called raising her hands above her head so growing ball of fire appeared above them. "Please be okay." She whispered before throwing the large ball of fire direction at Meliodas. "Burning Inferno!!!!" The blast hit them both dead but while Meliodas body was covered in scarps and burns, Hendrickson was completely fine.
"That should be enough, right Captain?" Ban asked.
"Yeah." Meliodas held his dagger and released off large amounts of magical power from all the attacks he suffered. "Revenge Counter!"
"After disabling his own magical powers, he stores every single task he receives, unleashing them all at once. Without pinpoint control, he'll inevitably self-destruct. It's a double edge sword as well as the captains ultimate blow." Gowther explained ending with a pose which cause the three sins to just deadpan. "According to my calculations, your survival rate after being subjected to these attacks would be .2 percent. Good luck." Hearing this, Hendrickson tried to run by flying away but he was trapped within a circular barrier before he could go anywhere.
"Allow me to bid farewell to you, too."
"You're alive, Griamore?"
"Every last one of you... when will you stop thwarting me?!" Hendrickson punched the barrier in frustration shattering it to pieces.
"You still don't get it, Hendrickson? In return for a useless power, you abandoned everything important to you!" Meliodas flew into the air cutting Hendrickson in the gut. "And that is your sin!"
"Me, of all people.... by the likes of you?!" In an explosion, Hendrickson's body was obliterated and Meliodas began to free fall until (y/n) him caught him in the air. They stared into each other's eyes smiling at one another until they heard a coughing sound.
"F-father! How are you feeling? Are you all right now?" Elizabeth asked.
"Yes."
"Thank goodness!"
"Merlin, are you done with Bartra's treatment?" Meliodas asked once (y/n) safely landed him on the ground.
"Yes, that new secret technique from the Demon Realm I've been wanting to try was a resounding success."
"Using the king as your guinea pig... You really have guts."
"All's well that end well. Right, Your Majesty?" Merlin asked and the king chuckled nervously.
"Sire." Someone called. The king turned around to find every Holy Knight bowing down to him. "Please... We, the Holy Knights, asked to be severely penalized. We have strayed from our path. We've disregarded your exhortation to avoid a Holy War, and turned our backs on the people suffering. We no longer have the right to call ourselves Holy Knights. Please, your harshest sentence." Gilthunder begged on behave of the Holy Knights.
"Very well. I will now head down my sentence. Everyone of you... Shall go without a day off for the foreseeable future."
"Sire!! But then are sin won't be-." Howzer began but was cut off.
"No matter how harshly you're punished, The walls of those who suffered won't heal any faster. Now is the time for you, the kingdom's Holy Knights, to devote yourself to rebuilding the kingdom and aiding the people as soon as possible!"
"Yes, sire!!!"
"(Y/n) and you Seven Deadly Sins... well done!! The fact that, despite being frame, you protected the kingdom, I never stopped protecting my daughter... as king, and as a father, I am grateful to you. Thank you."
"Hey, let's not stand on ceremony, Bartra."
"We just did what anyone would do for a friend. Right?" Diane smiled meanwhile Ban walked to Hawk's dead body.
"Master. I know I said a lot of nasty things to you. That we were never friends. That really was an awful thing to say. Everyone I take a liking to... it's up leaving me."
"But in the end, it was a stoke of luck. Had the captain died in that scenario, our chances for victory would've become extremely slim. But the loss in combat power due to the death of the Scraps captain was zero. It didn't hurt us at all."
"Take that back!!!" Ban yelled about to attack until Merlin appeared.
"Well, hold up, Fox Sin Ban."
"Get out of my way!"
"Gowther meant no harm. Forgive him."
"You just keep your trap shut for a while, you damned Four Eyes!"
"Hawk, if you quit the tavern without telling me, I won't forgive you. Who's going to dispose of the scraps in your place?" Meliodas asked.
"Today's victory and glory all belong to the master. Write, Captain?"
"Yeah. Come on back, now. If you do, I'll give you three times as much scraps as before."
"Don't forget what you just said." A small cute voice said which was then followed by Hawk's body blowing away in the wind like ash and leaving behind a small cute pig.
"Hawk?" (Y/n) questioned.
"Hey... you're alive?" Meliodas asked.
"Yeah. Looks like it." In happiness Ban grabbed Hawk and three him in the air to celebrate.
"Master, you're the best!"
"Wow, I can't believe it!!" Diane cheered.
"Wow, he's so tiny now." King said shocked.
"Seriously, you're a reckless bastard, pig!"
